Thank you for the kind words and suggestions! It is something that I will definitely keep in mind. As far as the size of the debuffs go, it is under the "Widgets" tab of threat plates. Once there select the "auras" section and adjust the size!
Can anyone compare an affliction rotation dps to solid destruction rotation dps in heroic uldir + .. I love destruction and find affliction rather boring but always see the tops dps being afflict
Destruction has better damage mate this guy is using 380 staff ive been using oh 345 and wand 340 was making more damage than an affliction who had 360

for the single target part of the video that starts 12 mins in, after the dots you used Phantom Singularity than deathbolt but than when deathbolt was about to come off cool down you reset your dots and used deathbolt and Phantom Singularity was still a few secs on cool down, When do i recast Phantom Singularity, next time death bolt is coming back up or on cool down?
Yeah at that point I had mostly shown what was needed rotationally and was just not paying much attention. You do want to use PS before Deathbolt is possible, but it is not work delaying your deathbolt over 8 or so seconds to wait for PS.

Welcome! An actual guide would be a bit tough due to affixes changing weekly as well as differing key levels. A document could be a bit easier to maintain and manage however. I can take a look at potentially doing so in the next few days.
Forgot about affixes. Mostly some general pointers would be awesome. I mean, I just learned that the blueberry is best for cleave situations. That’s how limited my knowledge is.

It has a seduce but honestly is just not used in mythic + or raids. The Imp, Felhunter and Voidwalker all bring a lot more utility while being stronger in certain scenarios.

Hey man nice video. I've tried the rotation but I dont get out as much dmg if I do urs instead of another one... Mine is haunt, agony, corruption, siphon life, phantom, darksoul misery + trinket then UA, darkglade then deathbolt. It differs about 1,5 / 2k dmg...
Hey there! What other rotation do you mean? The opener for single target I talk about here it the same one as you listed. I was about 375 ilvl or so here as well.
I use the opener from lockonestopshop. Yours differs some attacks in the order, which I have been trying to copy exact but it just wont give me the same amount of dmg... As if I do the one from locktop. As I said if i miss one attack with just 0,3/0,4 sec it messes up the whole opener. Yes I'm aware of the ilvl as well as I meant the dmg of my ilvl. Should I continue with the one i am doing or? Otherwise, nice channel keep the work up.
Is Archive of the Titans worth using outside Uldir considering that's the only time Reorigination Array is active? That's what makes it so strong of a trait isn't it?

I run creeping death on fortified and dark soul on tyrannical. Think it makes sense cause you can use dark soul twice on tyrannical, well not always but most of the time i think.
Creeping Death is more impactful on Fortified weeks vs Tyrannical most of the time. I have found DSM play to be fun but it does depend on the key as well as the weekly affix.

I'm always on bottom of dps chart in dungeons on my affliction warlock. Being low leveled I always feel like I'm doing something wrong. I use the dreadmist boa set at level 35 I use death bolt and siphon life at the moment. I really hope this is just because its early in the talent tree. I feel like I do more dps in dungeons with siphon life then absolutely corruption.im not a pro player by far...hopefully it gets better

As far as stats go there are no actual caps at all. You want to look for Haste and Mastery if you can, but the best way to tell it to run a raidbots.com sim!
You have helped me so much. Can you enlighten me on Mythic Zek when adds come out should I even bother putting siphon life on any of the soldiers? Should I just put it on void weaver and zek instead?

Really depends on the fight to be honest. I run SL on Taloc, Mother, for a bit of Vectis prog and will on G'huun as well. On fights like Fetid Devourer, Zek'vos and Zul/Mythrax both WIA and AC are solid choices as well. If you have at least 1 piece of Sudden Onset azerite gear, WIA gains a tremendous amount of value on fights with adds that need to die but live long enough for your Agony to hit 15 stacks. Zul and Mythrax are great AC fights just due to the nature of the actual fight. I do expect the WIA fights to becomes mostly SL fights later in the tier where pushing for parses weekly becomes a thing and adds just melt though. I myself am most likely going to be swapping to SL next week on Vectis over WIA which is what I used for our progression kill.
I'm so frustrated with how azerite armor is distributed in game and how badly balanced the traits are... still have 2x 340ilvl shoulders and chest equied. 3 normal uldir clears and 2 hc clears and I got 0 azerite armor. Both mythic 10 caches didnt gave me azerite. I dont know what to do... people in guild dont trade azerite armor because blizzard is retunning traits every few days and people dont know whats going to be good in a week... I dont know 16 days of subsicrtion left, havent been on wow break since end of WoD, maybe the game is telling me something.
I think the system does need some changes as well. I just think the pieces are too hard to acquire and with that and certain traits being so overpowered, it has left a bad taste in a large portion of the player bases mouths.
According to reddit users, not having all items drop from m+ is good because you can't just get instant 385's in a week. I don't think they've actually done mythic+ This casino of azerite is just painful. I wouldn't mind the imbalance anywhere near as much if I could farm for them. Like every other piece of gear from dungeons.
Refreshing Haunt is a priority over just about everything except for Agony as you never want your Agony to fall. If you refresh then outside of their pandemic window you are losing some DPS are you are "overwriting" a part of the dot in a sense.
The Weak Aura I am using in the center of my screen indicates when DOTs are in their pandemic range. There is a link to my discord in the description where you can find the actual WA! There are a few that display pandemic range however so if the one I use is not one you like, feel free to look around.
Roughly 3-4 seconds before. It is the timeframe where you can re-apply the specific dot while the current one is still ticking and have its remaining duration added onto the freshly applied version.

For some reason the enemy health bar is not not stacking like you have. All the health bar overlaps on top of each other for me. Any suggestions?i have the same addon you have
Most of the talents on the left side are passives which can work well at times. Other talents do offer a good bit more damage at times however! Glyph are sill a thing but they are 99% cosmetic at this point.

Both Mastery and Haste are best for us right now. The best way to tell is to do a raidbots.com "stat weight" sim. It will tell you which is best for ya there! Titanforging is just a random chance for an item to receive a bonus to its item level. World quest, bosses and other areas where loot can drop will TF at times!

Sudden Onset is very strong in and for the most part "best" in mythic +. A bit of it depends on ilvl however and I would run a 385 ID piece over a 355 SO helm any day.

I have trouble multidotting and i'm only doing about 5k dps or less to trash packs at 320 ilevel. I see you are doing well on these trash pulls with like 20k dps. I don't know what i'm doing wrong. Single target is fine though.
Well I was 365-370 when I filmed that clip with specific azerite traits. It really is just about maintaining Agony and Corruption then spreading a few UA's before you need to refresh. If you are having some trouble maintaining your dots, the Absolute Corruption-Creeping Death build for mythic + is totally acceptable!
I don't typically dump my stacks until I am at or near 100 stacks. If you are able to transition to the next pack without losing them then holding is best. If you know they are going to drop once combat is over dumping them under 100 is fine. It is especially powerful heading into bosses.
My shadowbolts tend to hit for around 3,800 damage per cast. At 12 stacks of Inevitable Demise, Drain Life is ticking currently for just over 2,000 damage but keep in mind that is also ticks 4 times over its channel! Even at low stacks it is worth casting if you know it is going to drop.
The thing that really makes affliction so spooky is not just how overpowered it is, but how consistent it is. it doesn't really need cooldowns, or a ton of abilities with long cds. It can just maintain a spooky amount of dps.
the bonus shadow damage from sacrificing ur pet with grimoire is much better in raid, just saying the damage i get from its is almost always my second most damaging ability and its passive, haunt just extends the time it take to perform ur initial burst
I do exactly what you do on the multiple targets and seem to only end up with 12k dps? Im 355 ilvl dont know how much damage difference would be between our levels!
Hey thanks! Well there is an option for stacking nameplates and overlapping. Changing that may yield better results but at times the stacking just happens :(.

I have Azurethos at 355 and ignition mages fuse at 365 with a socket. When used they trigger a 20 second CD on the other trinket. Should I look for a proc trinket for my second? Or is it worth staggering the cds?

If you follow the AOE rotation in this guide your damage should be solid but in lower keys affliction will still suffer from trash dying too quickly. I still play destruction at times in lower keys when I want a break from affliction. Its burst damage is much higher than afflictions outside CD's.
You want to dump as many as you can right before you summon your Darkglare. You cannot have more than 5 UA's on a target at once (it just replaces a lower timed UA if you cast a 6th) so I just hold my shards until the Darkglare extension ends normally and then resume the normal rotation.

Can you clarify is this azerite trait video after the thunderous blast and other trait nerfs? If you can include it (patch number and trait tuning) at the start it would be beneficial to know if the traits got rebalanced again since this was recorded. Damage wise yes, but once your M+ keys start going higher you'll always take fellhunter.
The interrupt is far too useful to not utilize.

Destruction will burst pretty high as well depending on what azerite traits you have, but affliction is better at sustained damage.

Archive is still a very strong trait if you don't have So pieces for mythic +!
So after the Glare phase is done do you just dump one shard into UA just to keep it refresed?
Yeah pretty much! You can dump more than one if you get some pretty good shard generation but you want to keep 1 UA up as much as possible.

You want to start pooling shards about 25 seconds before Darkglare comes off of CD so that you have 5 ready for it!
I run creeping death on fortified and dark soul on tyrannical. Think it makes sense cause you can use dark soul twice on tyrannical, well not always but most of the time i think.
Creeping Death is more impactful on Fortified weeks vs Tyrannical most of the time. I have found DSM play to be fun but it does depend on the key as well as the weekly affix.

I'm always on bottom of dps chart in dungeons on my affliction warlock. Being low leveled I always feel like I'm doing something wrong. I use the dreadmist boa set at level 35 I use death bolt and siphon life at the moment. I really hope this is just because its early in the talent tree. I feel like I do more dps in dungeons with siphon life then absolutely corruption.im not a pro player by far...hopefully it gets better

The yellow beam healing explosion? It was the Laser Matrix azerite trait!
As far as stats go there are no actual caps at all. You want to look for Haste and Mastery if you can, but the best way to tell it to run a raidbots.com sim!
You have helped me so much. Can you enlighten me on Mythic Zek when adds come out should I even bother putting siphon life on any of the soldiers? Should I just put it on void weaver and zek instead?
Glad to hear it! As far as the small soldier adds go I just pre-cast a Seed of Corruption so it pops when they are grouped up then just focus down the Void Weaker adds!

Looks like most of the top raiding warlocks use Siphon Life, any reason this isn't reflected here? Just curious.
Really depends on the fight to be honest. I run SL on Taloc, Mother, for a bit of Vectis prog and will on G'huun as well. On fights like Fetid Devourer, Zek'vos and Zul/Mythrax both WIA and AC are solid choices as well. If you have at least 1 piece of Sudden Onset azerite gear, WIA gains a tremendous amount of value on fights with adds that need to die but live long enough for your Agony to hit 15 stacks. Zul and Mythrax are great AC fights just due to the nature of the actual fight. I do expect the WIA fights to becomes mostly SL fights later in the tier where pushing for parses weekly becomes a thing and adds just melt though. I myself am most likely going to be swapping to SL next week on Vectis over WIA which is what I used for our progression kill.

I'm so frustrated with how azerite armor is distributed in game and how badly balanced the traits are... still have 2x 340ilvl shoulders and chest equied. 3 normal uldir clears and 2 hc clears and I got 0 azerite armor. Both mythic 10 caches didnt gave me azerite. I dont know what to do... people in guild dont trade azerite armor because blizzard is retunning traits every few days and people dont know whats going to be good in a week... I dont know 16 days of subsicrtion left, havent been on wow break since end of WoD, maybe the game is telling me something.
I think the system does need some changes as well. I just think the pieces are too hard to acquire and with that and certain traits being so overpowered, it has left a bad taste in a large portion of the player bases mouths.
It is certainly rough around the edges....
According to reddit users, not having all items drop from m+ is good because you can't just get instant 385's in a week.

This casino of azerite is just painful. I wouldn't mind the imbalance anywhere near as much if I could farm for them. Like every other piece of gear from dungeons.

Does haunt get refreshed is that a priority? And how important is it to refresh dots during pandemic
Refreshing Haunt is a priority over just about everything except for Agony as you never want your Agony to fall. If you refresh then outside of their pandemic window you are losing some DPS are you are "overwriting" a part of the dot in a sense.
Is there a useful addon to help with pandemic ?
The Weak Aura I am using in the center of my screen indicates when DOTs are in their pandemic range. There is a link to my discord in the description where you can find the actual WA! There are a few that display pandemic range however so if the one I use is not one you like, feel free to look around.

You are talking about pandemic window, what do you mean by that, is it 3 sec before dots runs out?
Roughly 3-4 seconds before. It is the timeframe where you can re-apply the specific dot while the current one is still ticking and have its remaining duration added onto the freshly applied version.

For some reason the enemy health bar is not not stacking like you have. All the health bar overlaps on top of each other for me. Any suggestions?i have the same addon you have
There should be an option for both "stacking" and "Overlapping" name plates within Threat Plates. Setting it to stacking should fix the problem!
Lol I been playing with affliction with all talents on left unlocked , I been doing ok but hard to say while leveling.... are glyphs still a thing?
Most of the talents on the left side are passives which can work well at times. Other talents do offer a good bit more damage at times however! Glyph are sill a thing but they are 99% cosmetic at this point.

Both Mastery and Haste are best for us right now. The best way to tell is to do a raidbots.com "stat weight" sim. It will tell you which is best for ya there!
Titanforging is just a random chance for an item to receive a bonus to its item level. World quest, bosses and other areas where loot can drop will TF at times!

Sudden Onset is very strong in and for the most part "best" in mythic +. A bit of it depends on ilvl however and I would run a 385 ID piece over a 355 SO helm any day.

I have trouble multidotting and i'm only doing about 5k dps or less to trash packs at 320 ilevel. I see you are doing well on these trash pulls with like 20k dps. I don't know what i'm doing wrong. Single target is fine though.
Well I was 365-370 when I filmed that clip with specific azerite traits. It really is just about maintaining Agony and Corruption then spreading a few UA's before you need to refresh. If you are having some trouble maintaining your dots, the Absolute Corruption-Creeping Death build for mythic + is totally acceptable!
Also, when should you use drainlife with inevitable demise?
I don't typically dump my stacks until I am at or near 100 stacks. If you are able to transition to the next pack without losing them then holding is best. If you know they are going to drop once combat is over dumping them under 100 is fine. It is especially powerful heading into bosses.
Is it worth using it to burn high priority adds during boss fights even if not at or near 100 stacks?
My shadowbolts tend to hit for around 3,800 damage per cast. At 12 stacks of Inevitable Demise, Drain Life is ticking currently for just over 2,000 damage but keep in mind that is also ticks 4 times over its channel! Even at low stacks it is worth casting if you know it is going to drop.

The thing that really makes affliction so spooky is not just how overpowered it is, but how consistent it is.
it doesn't really need cooldowns, or a ton of abilities with long cds. It can just maintain a spooky amount of dps.
Super strong DPS in Darkglare windows and with proper play can sustain a good bit outside of it as well!
the bonus shadow damage from sacrificing ur pet with grimoire is much better in raid, just saying the damage i get from its is almost always my second most damaging ability and its passive, haunt just extends the time it take to perform ur initial burst
I do exactly what you do on the multiple targets and seem to only end up with 12k dps? Im 355 ilvl dont know how much damage difference would be between our levels!
I was about 372 or so I believe when I made this video. 12k sounds about where you should be (factoring in other variables) around 355.

just read it as a +15% haste. The duration of your dot doesn't change, it just deals damage more often, so no, it boost it.

Hey thanks! Well there is an option for stacking nameplates and overlapping. Changing that may yield better results but at times the stacking just happens :(.

I have Azurethos at 355 and ignition mages fuse at 365 with a socket. When used they trigger a 20 second CD on the other trinket. Should I look for a proc trinket for my second? Or is it worth staggering the cds?
Eh it is not a huge deal either way. You can do a gear comparison sim on raidbots.com against other trinkets to see where they stack up however!

Thanks I appreciate it! Well what level keys are you running? If you follow the AOE rotation in this guide your damage should be solid but in lower keys affliction will still suffer from trash dying too quickly. I still play destruction at times in lower keys when I want a break from affliction. Its burst damage is much higher than afflictions outside CD's.

There really is not set in stone number for Haste or Mastery. The best way to tell where your stats currently lie however is a raidbots.com stat sim!
Do you use all your shards when glare is active or just let initial ones fall off and then just keep 1ua ?
You want to dump as many as you can right before you summon your Darkglare. You cannot have more than 5 UA's on a target at once (it just replaces a lower timed UA if you cast a 6th) so I just hold my shards until the Darkglare extension ends normally and then resume the normal rotation.

Just the default settings using their nightly build. A single target encounter with a 5 minute duration!

Can you clarify is this azerite trait video after the thunderous blast and other trait nerfs? If you can include it (patch number and trait tuning) at the start it would be beneficial to know if the traits got rebalanced again since this was recorded. Thank you for at least telling the date of the patch. I'll go reference it with when thunderous blast was changed.
