I am going to modify a CB650R aswell and was going for this exact fairing and clip ons, didn't even realise I won't fit, well at least now I know how to make it work, thank you!

Did anyone ever asked PUIG why the F would they design and sell a product that clearly doesn't fit the designated place on the motorcycle? Dear customer, it fits perfectly all you need is to manually chop it into bits! Ridiculous. It's a shame because the bike looks great with the retro fairing.
@@unnf9971 Correct, the cables are like 2" too long once I dropped the bars; I am going to put on the CBR cables which are shorter and should fix that issue ..

Yes, I ended up adding a blob of weld to the steering stop as it was pinching my hands, but turning radius hasn't changed too much :)

Yes it will fit with the stock risers and bars

@@motomikecanada haha I didn't notice you modded the handle bar lol So you say with the stock handlebar it doesn't squeeze the throttle cables?

you could just have bought royal einfield instead.
I could have just bought any number of completely different motorcycles. This seems more interesting.
I'd rather have a wrecked Honda than a brand new RE to be completely honest
