The World From a business standpoint, they gotta cash in on the hype. People fresh out of the movie, or even hyped about it would want an armored Thanos in any form. Plus it leaves them room for a more accurate release to further cash in on. They did it with the Marvel Legends Thanos BAF and released a better version in a 3 pack. I’m not sure if Figuarts does much revisions in terms of their already high quality figures, but Hasbro is not above revision. I wouldn’t be surprised if they released the armored Thanos BAF in a pack down the line.

It's because the design of this thanos is based on MCU concept art not based on the actual movie concept art and actual movie doesn't always look same for example iron spider the wrist and the mech legs is so wrong, this is also why shf released their endgame line so early withouth waiting for the actual movie yet
I thought of a solution (kinda). thanos wears the gauntlet with the armor during the first part of infinity war. So technically it's still accurate. Just think of your display as an infinity war/end game shelf. you're gonna display him with god suit thor anyway.
The time stone isn't actually black, but a really dark green. I know this because I tried shining a light through it and it surprised me that it was actually green.
Preordered this dude and the Hot Toys version. Two absolutely great additions to my growing collection. Though it’s gonna weigh heavy on my wallet it’s gonna be worth it for sure.
While it’s cool that the SHF figures release the same time as the movies now, it unfortunately means that there’s now similar inaccuracies in SHF that Legends often has because now both are making their figures based on preliminary or early concept art and don’t have the final movie to work with. (Like how the SHF Iron Spider just looks nothing like the movie honestly) There’s a part here on this Thanos that’s just inaccurate to the movie and it bugs me that we may not be able to get a properly accurate Endgame Thanos

Great job by SHF on this one as it's the definitive armored Thanos in this scale IMO. Wish the armor was battle worn (like in the movie) & the double bladed weapon was more accurate to the movie (blades parallel) like on the Hot Toys version. Was surprised that the ML version also looks pretty solid in the comparison (unfortunately it's a ML BAF so actually costs slightly more than the SHF to get since the other figs in the wave needed to build are mostly lame outside of Ebony Maw IMO) . Re: the size comparison to the ML, note the IW version size diff. was about the same fyi. I'm glad this one is slightly taller than the IW counterpart as scales a bit better with the ML Black Order figs. Thanks for another great review & all the relevant size comparisons with other related figs.

I already have the BAF Thanos, and I’m really on the fence about getting the S.H. Figuarts version because the BAF looks so good. Will probably bite the bullet and then sell whichever I’m less satisfied with in comparison
There is a very small qc issue that no one has caught on this fig yet. They put the skirt wrong, the front is on the back and the back is on the front. Cheers!

Beautiful figure, Color harmony, sharpness creates the character's vividness. The joints increase movement. The face shows the same detail as in the movie. Standard body shape sizes have nothing to add. The weapon is shiny silver, a point I appreciate. colors are not smudge. Yellow gold shows on iridescent armor. I love it. That's why I should hurry get him.
This figure is great but my only problem with it is that the color of the stones are not accurate. As mentioned the time stone is not accurate but if you look at the 4 stones above the mind stone there is 1 blue and three red stones
You can tell this guy genuinely cares about his audience. He tells us to take care of ourselves specifically to drink water and stay hydrated and he refuses to spoil the movie
For me I can't change his hand that isn't wearing the Gauntlet, it's just not coming off so I'm stuck with open hand because I changed it once and I can't do it again

bladerj The armor is the same in both movies. The sword is just an accesory. The difference is that Thanos never wear the gauntlet in Endgame while he was with full armor, that happened in Intinty War alone at the opening scene.
