- This is a really literal take on a retro style, so I know you won't wear it so over exaggerated, but you could tone down the volume for a more wearable style :).

Hi - I'm a 37yr old English woman and I cannot thank you enough for this tutorial - I'm going to try it today and if it works I'll be wearing it to Royal Ascot - thanks so much, it looks very easy to follow!
i completely loved it...i think this is one of d best voluminous hairstyles i have ever seen!
So I did this hairestyle to a wedding two weeks ago and several people joked about it and said that I could be Adeles little sister. Thanks for uploading so many beautiful hairstyles. You're doing a great job!
Kayley I LOVE your tutorials...can't believe i've made it this far in life without really knowing how to do my hair, your tutorials are really helpful for me.
i for one absolutely love all these retro looks..so i cannot wait to try this out..
I adore everything retro. And I'm obsessed with Mad Men. I'm totally trying this - thank you!
Amazingly easy....I always struggle with updos and this is the only one out of the many masses I have watched that I have been able to do. Just done it as a practice and curled bangs each side and left them loose. Hopefully can recreate it for night out on Sunday. Thank you!!!!!
So easy to do and so pretty! And because I have curly (and pretty damaged thanks to coloring) hair, I didn't have to use a single bit of hairspray! Wore my cat ears headband with it for my birthday dinner. LOVES!!!
I love this!! You do a great job!!
Omg u look so different
Thanks to you I had a superchique hairstyle at my friends wedding today. Very easy, but it looked like a professional updo!
This is my favorite hairstyle you've done. I've watched the video like 5 times and wore the hairstle twice now! I just stinkin' LOVE it!
Genius! I've been looking for an easy retro style for work (especially for those dirty hair days) and this is PERFECT. Smooth, easy, simply, sexy... I can't tell you how excited I am right now!
this hair style reminds me of Adele :)
Thanks for adding that last bit about cleaning up the teasing mess...always great to know!
Can I just tell you that your hair tut's are the best and the most informational in all of youtube! Anytime, I style my hair following your instructions I have so many girls asking who does my hair and what salon I get it done at LOL.
I like that you achieved this hairstyle, without adding extensions. Brava!
I love this hairstyle so much!!
I am in love with this hair style, brilliant!!!
best hair tutorial ive ever seen on youtube, and trust me, ive watched about 2 thousand
I. Love. This. Hairstyle! I've done it a couple of times and it's super easy and looks super cool.
I wore this today actually. Had this special occasion in church so I used this hair. Everybody LOVED it. Me too.
This is definitely your best tutorial. It came out incredible. Can't wait to recreate this myself. Keep up the good work, doll.
I did this hairstyle for a birthday party, and I got SO much praise for it !!! I would really like to se you doing more 60's updo's.
It looks gorgeous!! And you made the steps quite simple and easy to catch up! And i love the last part where you gave tips on how to de-backcomb it, absolutely amazing and cant wait to try it out on my sister!!
i am absolutely in love with your videos! you are extremely informative and your videos are exactly how a tutorial should be: direct, concise, and mostly about the visual. I am officially addicted to your vids!! Keep them coming!
YES! Finnally something that doesnt need super long hair! THANKYOU!!!!
Ooooh I love this hairdo!😍😍😍
I will try!😃😃😃😃😃
WHY DOES EVERY SINGLE HAIRSTYLE LOOK SO AMAZING ON YOU?!

Going to try on wedding dresses this weekend and planning on doing a more toned down version of this hairstyle since I want a strong (long holding) updo at my wedding that is simple and also elegant.
Love this! I'm 24 and I would wear this to a nice wedding or even on a nice date w/ my husband :) I liked the fact that it was literal.
This is definitely my favourite tutorial for a beehive. Looks great - can't wait to try it!
I have worn this twice. Love it so much thanks girl!
This is a great video....WELL done, you took time to explain things. I am going to try this....I remember my older sister doing this type of hair style in the 60's when she was a teen.

I used this video this morning, I wanted to try something new and make it look perfect and just the way I wanted. I succeeded and I can't thank you enough for teaching me something new to do with my hair, x x

I love, love, love this. I'd love to see more simple, but casually elegant updos please.
Your tutorials are amazing...very clear and detailed, with great visuals. I don't know how you manage to do the back of your hair so effectively, but hats off to you (pardon the pun).

Very classy and Adele-esque! Love your tutorials and styles!!!
I really like this tutorial. It's a little bit of a different aesthetic than a lot of the other updos.
This video just gave you another subscriber! You're so underrated! I absolutely loved this :)
I did this on Saturday and it turned out perfectly! I had so many compliments!!! Thanks so much!
Thank you for sharing this. No lie, I saw this similar hairstyle on a local magazine cover and saved it for a special occasion to use as a point of reference for a hairstylist. I'm going to try your steps first before paying for it. Both you and the red headed model on the magazine cover that I saved rock this look!
I love the fact that you show the unteasing too!
finally a video that shows how to take the stuff out of your hair!!!!!!!
i love your hair tutorials :) this one is so retro, very pretty
This is AMAZING!!! Love this look, and I've definitely been curious as to how this hairstyle is done! Thank you!!! xx
Such a great tutorial! I was worried about being able to do my hair for my first Christmas party in my new firm this weekend- in not worried anymore! Thanks!!!
to brush out teasing, I tend to spray some leave-in conditionner or a detangler...it helps prevent yanking out too much hair...
i like how you told us how to undo the teasing! ;D i never even thought of that. great look!
i kind of miss your old music. lol before the video loads, i start hearing it in my head!
OMGoodness! This is adorable and so easy :) I wore it today and got tons of compliments. One group of ladies said I looked like Adele
i absolutely love how you use words like apex and occipital bone. its good to know you're educated
Awesome video! Your steps are clear and understandable, your pacing is spot on, quality video. Plus the hairstyle looks great on you.
Lu said this 20 hours ago but this was 7 years ago XD

sigh, best look yet! LOVE!!!
Please do more of the hairstyles from pan am!!!!! It's my favorite show and I love the classy and elegant 60s style :)
I have the perfect dress for this hairstyle!!! SSsssooo doing it tomorrow!
You saved my ass with that lit hairstyle! It's going to be my everyday look
I loveeee this video ❤️
This is sooo cute! I love your tutorials, as usual!!
Thank you for the good tutorial. Ive been a pro makeup artist for many years and a hair dresser. Well done! Perhaps let your audience know that setting up mirrors correctly (one in front and one behind them) can help them do the back of their hair much easier. With my clients, Im often surprised how many women dont even know how to use a hand mirror, to check the back of their hair! : /
Beautiful retro look!
Thanks for posting this! I had great results using this tutorial. I did end up using Bumble & Bumble's hair powder to get good volume with minimal teasing. It also helps to the bobby pins to get a good grip on the hair. Kind of a bummer in that for black hair like mine, you'll either have to wash your hair before bed or be willing to sacrifice a pillow case because the black powder WILL leave smudges everywhere.
love that this is going to be my prom hair style
loved that you showed how to take out the teasing!
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE this! and it looks so fabulous on you!
I absolutely adore this one!
You rock, girl! I love aaaall of your hairstyles and I will be rocking the city with this look tomorrow! :-D
This would be beautiful for prom too! Love, love, love!
I love it! Please do more hair styles like that!
I love your tutorials, your explanations are so understandable, you are wonderful!
Im doing this for my prom this saturday and NO im not toning down on the teasing i think its what compliments the entire hairstyle itself! :) and thankyou soooo much!! Love your videos ;)
Love it! Clear tutorial and beautiful, big hair.
I love that you explain everything in detail! :)
it's tutorials like this that make me wish there was a love button!
You have beautiful hair. Like I am ridiculously jealous of your hair.
Love u and this video! Best line ever: Hairy hairy clay
I found this video because I wanted to do my hair like Lutece from Bioshock Infinite, and this is great! Thank you kindly.
I totally love this updo!!
This is waaay tooooo gorgeous!
Omg you make it look so easy!
i love your vintagy retro updo!
Thir is great! I love hairstyles like this one but I never get it right when I try, plus most of the tutorials I have seen is for shorter hair than mine. This looks really simple to do but still beautiful! Great tutorial!
SO gorgeous!!!!!!!! Loving this!!! Thank you!
It really suits you!!!!!! It look a little bit difficult to creat all this volume and make it remain like this, my hair doesn't cooperate with me when it's about volume, but I want to try it!!!!
You're awesome! I don't have long hair any more (until Christmas I had hair down to the loin), but I still watch your great videos loyally. :)
Nice job! Best tutorial of this look, so easy!
It's so funny to see the styles of my youth referred to as "costumes" and "retro". In the 60s we did LOTS more teasing than you did; we called it "ratting". The styles were gigantic, projecting both upwards and out to each side. Many high school annual pictures were too small to include all the air, and some girls had a funny cropped look when the photograph cut off part of their do. And we used tons of spray.
