I honestly would suggest going with one of Maxpedition's wider options if you're looking for something that would work well for books and binders (presumably a school bag). This bag is designed to fit between your shoulder blades and would be a tight fit depending on how wide the books and binders were.

Pro tip : you can watch movies at flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching lots of of movies during the lockdown.

My Recon 3 sleeping bags attach just fine underneath both my Falcon 11 and Condor 11 packs.
I kind of did the same thing with my hydration pocket too. but i folded a stiff tarp and shoved it in there. more weight and bulk, but multi use.
