thanks for the video. I recently got a ss and I don't know whether I should disassemble it every time after use or not? cause I don't know the durability of the spring (e.g. how many times you can disassemble it without worrying about damaging the spring?
what about using a drier for removing the drops of water inside the meccanism? It can damage the meccanism with the heat??? and so is better using a towel gently??
Clipper cool spray is not good enough for sanitation. Other than boiling, autoclaving or using barbicide will work. However, you should not put the wood handles in barbicide.
Thanks for your feedback. I wasn’t sure what else to use due to the fact that on amazon cleaning instructions stayed not to use sodium hypochlorite. Now I’m not a barber this is only use for personal use. I own a DX and SS models. I only spray the andis, one for pre-sanitation and the other because it keeps away moisture. However hearing from a professional, Iwill start using barbicide. Thanks again!
@@Francovajal if you use it for personal use all u need is to rinse it and dry it and occasionally after each blade change spray some 90% alcohol and your good and to clean use gentle dish detergent.
two people asked the same question but you failed to answer them. since you shouldn't store a razor with a live blade, where and how do you store the blade you take out if you are still using it, e.g. it hasn't dulled yet? that's what this vid failed to mention. For personal use, I see no problem with keeping the blade in the razor after sanitizing and drying it, especially if you have a holder or stand for it. Got a better way? Let's hear it.
If you go on etsy.Com search for frugal shaves, he sells 3d printed blade dryers for different types. I usually use them for de, and gem blades. Or you can get a magnet if your medicine cabinet has metal hinges and have them dry on the magnet in your medicine cabinet.
Basically the head of the ss has a lip dx doesn't, dx has more blade exposure and is a bit heavier as it's made of different metal. The ss is lighter and the handle is more ergonomic and easy to maneuver. Lastly price the ss can be found on ebay around 90 bucks the dx is around 150.

So do you alway through the blade away after a single use? (that is personal use)
If it's for personal use you can use it more than once. You can use it until it gets dull, then replace.
What do you recommend then (for storing purposes) when your blade is new, considering you're telling us to take it out completely?
New blades should only be inserted right before using it. There is no reason to put a new blade in and then store it. This is very dangerous.
I just swipe the blade edge with my finger to get the water off to ensure hard water deposits don't get it and dull it.
