Review 12v DC Electric Hydraulic Jack Kit, Time to Get Jacked!!!

  • Eambrite just sent me their Hydraulic Jack and this thing is pretty cool. The company says you could change your tire on the car in 5 minutes, I have to agree with this, it really did make everything super simple. This roadside emergency kit comes with everything you need to get your tire off on the spare on. If you don't have a spare you can add a plug kit and then inflate your tire with this kit as well.
    This is great for your wife, daughter, aging parents, grandparents, and people with disabilities.
    I lifted a 6000 lb truck with 35-inch tires, then rotated the tires with this jack, see link for video • Review 12v DC Electric...

    Hello Chris. Your video is the reason why changing tires has become a piece of cake for me. I travel a lot with my car & having a flat tyre in the middle of a highway while it's 48 Celsius degrees in the middle east summer makes it deadly to use a traditional jack. I just bought the 5-tons version of this jack & it's fabulous & super fast & easy to use. Thank you so much for your great help & encouragement. God bless you 😀

    I know you didn't have to explain it that well, but i appreciate it. I bought my mother one for the sole reason that she can't use a jack or change a tire, and she drives alone most weekdays. Road assistance helps, but like you commented below, that could be up to an hour depending on where you are, and how busy they are.You explained it amazingly. Keep it up, you earned a subscriber.

    • @ChrisDoesWhat

      Thank you for the kind words! This is great for loved ones, after my wife was out of town and got stuck on the side of the road waiting for assistance, this would have greatly helped her. She has MS and is not as strong as when we met in the military. So of the comment here state to just use a floor jack, hat to see their mom or wife on the side of the road with that.

  • @ChrisDoesWhat
    @ChrisDoesWhat  5 ปีที่แล้ว +29

    For all of you who would rather use your floor jack to lift your car, please keep doing that. We don't represent this company, we just have the jack! We still use the jack and like it, it really gives me, peace of mind when my wife drives alone. We have the roadside assistant service, but depending on your location, she could be on the road for hours before help arrives. With this jack, my wife can jack the car with the press of a button, remove the lugs with the impact, and get back on the road. This reduces the amount of time she may be in an unsafe area.

      Is it low enough to fit under a car with a flat tire though? I know that sounds like a silly question but in the video it looked kind of snug with the tire aired up.

    Great concept. I don't personally think it would hold up over time though. The motor on that thing sounds rough and I don't imagine that "impact" could tighten the lug nuts up to as tight as they should be. I stick with the old school 4 way and regular jack.

    • @ChrisDoesWhat
      @ChrisDoesWhat  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You are welcome to stick with what works for you, this is for my wife! I still use this jack and it still works great. The impact will over torque the lug nuts if you are not careful, and you should always check your lug nuts with a torque.

  • @MrRockydee07
    @MrRockydee07 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Looks good, I'll also chock a wheel so it doesn't roll, and loosen the lug nuts before lifting .

    • @ChrisDoesWhat
      @ChrisDoesWhat  ปีที่แล้ว

      The impact was plenty to break the lugs loose while jacked. Great ideal to chock the wheels, we keep folding chock with this kit. Most the time when I get a flat most the time all I need is a plug, so we keep a plug kit as well.

    • @MrRockydee07
      @MrRockydee07 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ChrisDoesWhat OK, Also the reason why we loosen the lug before lifting is so we don't mess up the gears inside the expensive transmissions .

    The kit is a great concept however it looks to be just a rung up the ladder from a toy...only for emergencies! I don't know how it would fare with my Deville. I carry a good 12v compressor and a serious DeWalt 1/2" cordless impact which will effortlessly raise and lower the factory jack if I have to use it...3ton floor jack for use at home with stands. A real heavy duty version of that kit might be great!

    • @ChrisDoesWhat
      @ChrisDoesWhat  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well I can say that it is not a toy, and I was about to lift the tire of a full-size chevy truck with it, and for the color, it is an emergency kit, you don't want to get mowed down on the road cause people can't see you. If what you have works for you, don't change it, but this is an option for people that don't have anything.

    • @johnricci4511
      @johnricci4511 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am in absolute agreement with you on the emergency utility however I opted for tools that can stand up to daily use if needed and my plan allows for use in regular maintenance work all over the car. You would never use that impact to do a brake job or change out suspension/front end parts. As I said, I like the concept...a good "trunk box"!

    • @ChrisDoesWhat

    As a mechanic, I really would not trust the Jack. The gun seems ok, like it does the job just fine. I think the gun is a really good design in regards to how the internal hammer “impacts”. It’s cheap but efficient. But I would not trust that Jack. I feel as though it’s less safe than a traditional scissor Jack that’s in your trunk.

    • @ChrisDoesWhat
      @ChrisDoesWhat  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The jack will work in a pinch and is more for those that can't use a mechanical jack due to physical limits. This is also why I showed jacking the car as little as possible so you don't really have to lift the tire. The impact would really help my wife, at 115 lbs she can never break the lugs lose.

    Nice video but you didn't demonstrate the emergency button.

    Everyone with this item is showing the basic, simple, and obvious. I have yet to see how to use the jumper cables. I have charged the 5 in 1 hydraulic jack, once attached the plug then attached to the car battery. I wait a bit and tried to start my car and does not work. Maybe the item I have is defective and will send back. Anyway, good video.

      This jack doesn't jump your car, there is no battery in the jack. The alligator battery clips are to power the jack directly from the battery.
