It has gone skyhigh in the last years. I paid 1.2k€ 15 years ago but I went through everything quite fast and swimmingly. I heard that these days it may be up to 5k€ if you need some extra lessons. And it´s pretty tough too and we are more used to public transport, in bigger cities it´s quite annoying to find parking space.

tbf it costs an arm and a leg to get a driver’s license in germany. i did mine last year and it cost me like 3,3k
