How anyone can come up with something like that is so far beyond me... Pat is like a mad surgeon on guitar and i´m sure Alex is not even human at all. Simply unbelievable!
0:47 Alex is playing this mind blowing thing on a bass with that "family guitar that hasn't been touched in a couple of decades" string action. hooooly shit.
Idk, he's kinda known for keeping his action pretty low. Personally I think it's a combination of the camera angle, and the fact that when his fingers strike through and land on the low B it pushes it out of place a lil.
Pat is an absolute machine. But my god, it’s insane that Alex plays this with his fingers, man. These dudes are still crushing just as hard 35 years into their career. I’m glad Pat is back to playing again. I hate that it’s not for CC, but Erik Rutan fits like a glove.
I've really been a fan of cannibal corpse since their beginnings, it was mainly my brother who introduced me to them and took them to several concerts When I was younger but this video is simply incredible! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
This is fucking insanity. I learned a few intervals tracks and i really like aaron marshall. But if you asked me to play this shit i would say no against my best wishes. Ive learned a few really hard periphery riffs but this shit is next level. Pat and webster are fucking beasts.
i don't know if there's much more than needs being said about that needs being said about this amazing song other than no way is anybody playing the drums that hard and fast with no triggers and holding down a beat and still somehow keep an evilness
muscle memory, thats how you base your riffs in a song like this, if you notice there an amoun of repetition in each section of the song, so when you have memorized a single riff section you just gotta play it repatedly the amoun of times the section requires, remebering it is simple AF when you are used to play metal, learning how to play that accurate and fast is the actual Insane labor..
Rutan writes top notch death metal though, everything doesn't have to be O' Brian insanity to be an awesome CC record, u know? Least not to me, more times than not simplicity equals brutality. I think he wrote some great material on the new CC as well. Pat is hands down a Fuckin'savage on the guitar though, and this is without a doubt my favorite stuff he wrote for them.
Cmon man you gotta be joking, what is supposedly that huge technicality cannibal corpse lacks without Pat? he surely was an insane guitarist, but the only albums where Pat o brian displayed insane riffing was on The Wretched Spawn and Kill, There is literally no other album from cannibal corpse that goes as technical as those two albums, the man wasnt the main songwriter and he just had to adjust at the level of whatever song Rob barret, Paul or Alex wrote most of the time..Just listen to Red Before Black, that album is basically if Slayer was death metal, nothing extremely technical but the sound is getting more agressive, Violence Unimagined lacks technicality but has that power and brutal Sound the band was building with red before black but improved a lot, and now with Chaos Horrific is the same, tough the album is weaker than Violence Unimagined.
Not really the case for the whole genre, but in this song, the vocals definitely arent neccesary at all, or at least the way they were delivered both rythmical and lyrical...This should have been the last song on the album as a brutal instrumental maybe with something else added to it give it more substance as an instrumental and thats it. Could have carried this whole record on a greater level
Pat O'Brien's riffs are siiiick. Fucking hell. I miss him in CC.
Same...
How anyone can come up with something like that is so far beyond me... Pat is like a mad surgeon on guitar and i´m sure Alex is not even human at all. Simply unbelievable!
What’s funny is in a cannibal corpse documentary Pat said that’s not even the hardest thing he’s come up with
That first sentence of yours... Been asking myself that for years...
@@noname-c5x8bPats riffs can be catchy as well and complex as fuck at the same time. He’s that damn good
Chromatic =\= nonsense
pretty sure meth might be involved lol

@@mariuskozokar4341The strings are also beefy af. Definitely plays into the illusion.
LOL never noticed this. golden comment
My left hand hurts just watching this
THIS is how you be brutal and technical at the same time. Those quick time signature changes make it a thousand percent more deadly
and very fast like top fuel

Holy shot. Like a damn solo non stop 🫡
I'm so glad my dad showed me Cannibal Corpse. 🤘
Pats fingers are 🔥
MASTERPIECE • MASTERWORK
Top notch playing
High class of death metal ever.
No solo because with a riff like this who needs it?
Pat is just fucking AMAZING....Every time I hear any of his Cannibal songs I'm just blown away.
I've really been a fan of cannibal corpse since their beginnings, it was mainly my brother who introduced me to them and took them to several concerts When I was younger but this video is simply incredible! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Masterpiece
When the low notes hit in that first riff, so heavy.

Pat makes it look too easy.

I think their van is double parked outside the studio.
Whos the 3 posers that disliked this video?
its not worth it man.

The three posers who hated this video are the three posers playing in it lol

Awesome...
Que calidad no me canso de oirlo 🍻🤘
это круто!
Hats off!
And then heads off 😅
badass
I love many Death Metal bands but to me none come close to Corpse, especially when O'Brien was with them.
The devilss music is truly a subtle art.
Just Epic !
Love Pat man what a fkn monster on guitar 🤘🤘🤘
Beast !!!!!

@@felipegiraldo8100 well still with your explanation its mind boggling
Rutan will never be able to write riffs like this. He isn't technical enough and the latest CC albums suffer because of him, imo of course
Naw

Rutan is A GOAT just like Pat is.

Totally agree on that, all of the hate eternal records except maybe King of all kings lack the technicality to make them any memorable
Possession begins @ 1:07 FK’n ‘ELL 🔥🤘🔥
BRING BACK PAT TO CANNIBAL
지렷어요
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Every time I watch this I think it's SuperHuman
One guitar plus Alex.
Amazing
they are like superhuman or smthng
play it in 2x speed sounds awesome 😊
I did, and laughed way harder than I should have.
Hehe holy shit I liked 1:52
sounds like origin
it is like their hands teleport
Fuck yeah nothing compares
Pat looks like his portion of the video is sped up. Crazy precision.
it does but it isnt lol, you can see each chord matches up with the audio
The video is actually lagging 😂
I used to think the video was sped up
Envidia pura de los 3 dislikes. Losers
Стравинский нервно курит в сторонке
Alex is clearly using hacks. There isn't a bassist in the universe who can play that. He's cheating somehow.
Pat is missed.
Сигма
just sucks cg's are almost almost mixed right up front hides all the beautiful shit . vocals ought to be with the bass in this genre

@@maxr.3900 it definitely feels like that, Pat put the stuff in there and Alex and Paul just followed it.
