I have to tell you a lovely story about an aluminum tree.I am 70 and when I was in the 6th grade I had an awesome teacher.She put up an aluminum tree in our classroom.When it was the last school day before the holidays she asked if one of her students didn't have a tree.She gave the tree and the light wheel to a young man whose family had no tree I was 11 and I still remember that fondly after all these years,Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.Sending well wishes and Merry Christmas from Texas God bless.

I’m 67 and we had an Aluminum tree as well. It was so in then, and we adored it. My Uncle Al was in the Korean War, when he came home on leave, he bought me a pair of satin pajamas and I wore them out. They were stunning to say the least. Can’t remember what ever happened to that tree though . Dorene Weiss

In 1966 my Daddy was in Vietnam. I was 9 years old. We had an aluminum CHRISTmas tree with a color wheel. I thought that was the coolest thing I ever saw.

My mother passed in 2007 and my dad just passed May 12, 2023. I had such a wonderful relationship with them and so proud of the times I had with them. I think it's great the relationship you and Pete have. Such a beautiful couple. I love going with you on your thrifting travels. I am a thrift shopper and I love it. So beautiful! I don’t think you need to get rid of anything, Selena! I moved across country from Oregon/Idaho to Oklahoma. Had to downsize in a major way. But I miss the things I got rid of. (They went to friends and good homes, so that was nice, but I still miss much of the stuff.)

All of your pink reminds me of my Grandmother, as pink was her favorite color and she always has a pInk Christmas! She would LOVE your home!!! Wow Mom always had me put up an aluminum sparkle tree😂😂 Same color, too. This was in the ‘60s. I once used her mink as a Christmas skirt 😂😂 My mom passed three years ago So great to have your mom around Help is help! This is truly a cherished memory
👵💜Selena, last year I filled in my tree with flowers and I loved it. In Florida gaters and palm trees are used as decor year round. Was that a necklace you had on with the pink sweaters or part of the sweater? It was beautiful. I know you both enjoy living closer since your Mom moved.👵💜🎄

You looked so pretty in your green outfit! I remember about 30yrs ago or so i had several outfits in that material, it was called velour..i had green, burgundy, navy and brown. I lived them! Your aluminum tree bring back so many memories, that's what i grew up with. They were out in the 60's, i was born in the 60's, and we had it until i was a teen. We used the color wheel and I just loved it! And this trumpet flowers are gorgeous.. my mom had tons of trumpet trees, he's were all yellow except one and it was white. They were amazing! Now I want to find myself a green velour outfit, green is my favorite color and they're so soft, comfy and beautiful!!🎄❤

A couple of years ago I reorganized my Christmas decorations and it made it so much easier to decorate the next year. Not having to go through all the decor I didn’t use made it easier. Your decor is over the top in a good way.

Such a great idea to use your white jacket around your silver tree. It looks just like snow. ❄️ Love the blue bows around your chandelier and the crystals with the blue bows make me think of ice. 🩵 Always love when you get the pink poinsettias, I have yet to find them in my area. That was a fun video! My decorating style is different from yours, but I enjoy what you do and love to watch because of that. Soft feminine and sparkly always! Love to see what you've found over the years, and get some new ideas for old pieces. Like putting that topper on a bottlebrush tree. At the nursery, I just loved the way they used a lighter color evergreen as a ribbon swag around the tree... That place was so wonderful. Loved this episode…love thrifting…we have a Christmas parade here in Buda, Texas-a suburb of Austin. I always feel like I’m in a Hallmark movie with all the lights and music and they end in the park with a few fireworks. We have been married 55 1/2 years and I have added to my Christmas treasures every year. I always enjoy seeing you and your mom together. So difficult to downsize treasures!
Yes we have a theater like that. They also serve food and wine,beer.

What memories this brings back to me. Mom and dad bought an aluminum tree packaged like yours in the tube. She had navy blue ornaments with nativity scenes. I searched for some like them and finally found a pack of four. I kept 2 and gave my sister two so we could share the memory

That Aluminum tree brought back so many memories of Christmas when I was so young. You are so lucky to have them.. My dad used to have a light with four different colors that turned that he aimed it the tree. Definetely the 60's.

Great episode! Loved the garden center, in Puyallup WA they have Watsons garden and nursery which has a similar vibe and is my mom,s favorite place to go to. So if your mom and you are up in Pierce County WA keep Watsons in mind! The Northwest has the best wreaths, all that evergreen lushness. Don't live there anymore, but I do enjoy your adventures in that neck of the woods. Before I forget your previous episode when you and Pete went to Tacoma and showcased some of the businesses there. Your Christmas decor is unique and creative. But my oh my, is that really how you store your beautiful Christmas decor? Organize it and I can bet you that you will donate very little. I used to decorate 25 trees for museums, historic homes on tour and Christmas displays for charities. I had to be organized, productive and creative. Decorating was always a joy and never a chore. You have one of the prettiest Victorian homes. It is beautifully curated with love and care and I always enjoy your decorating videos. Have a blessed and happy holidays.
