Good to be the best of class, but $100 unfortunately doesn’t get you much anymore. Rather get a versions ago of adidas or puma 30-50% off at $80-110. Nike rarely discounts where i buy.
I used to get a few top end boots & then trial some different take down models & use in poor conditions.
Getting older, my feet really don’t tolerate low quality well, heel & other pain when boots just not made well enough.

The metallic finish causes the leather to feel more synthetic. Metallic finishes also reduce the ability for a boot to stretch over time making it harder to break in.

Nike mentioned synthetic for the previous silver color, and real leather for this gold one, so even they are confused 😂. I got both. The gold one looks like a collectors item so don’t think I’ll play with them anytime soon, while I’m playing with the silver one tomm on AG.
Quick update after playing a game in the silver ones. The leather upper felt great on the ball, but the traction on AG felt lacking and I felt slow. I’m sure these are great on FG as rated for its sole plate. I missed the smooth seamless traction of Nike’s own AG sole plate on the GX that I played with earlier, unfair comparison for something that costs more than twice. But I’m going back to the AG GX for now.

Played in the Tiempo premier 2 all season. Just got a pair of the Mizuno neo 4 beta MIJ. The Mizunos are much more sung and the sole plate is much better in the Mizuno's. The sole plate let this boot down and the 2's as well. Still might get a pair of the 3s but SG only. If Nike upgraded the sole plate with somwthing more sturdy and aggressive this boot will be epic as it still one of the only solid, light and moulding leather boots that fit better and better every time you play in them.

@kevinheaney9177 the sole plate is a bit neutral and could be slightly snappier and sturdy. It would transform the boot.

Im looking to get either the morelia or the alpha pro,i know aplha is good but never saw about the morelia are they even leather like the top models?
I don't mate, but the all the elite models (takedowns) from Mizuno are very similar
Supposedly they're still leather, for now. Great stuff, as always. Really hope Nike don't ruin this boot because the market needs more boots at this price point.

Yeah that bit surprised me because I got these recently (even same colorway) my toes were almost at the end too, but I had to return them as my big toe ended up hurting and turned purple after just a couple of hours (1 hour game per day) So I thought maybe you had more gap than I did, hence the suggestion of literally pressing down as opposed to describing the fit, to compare more accurately with my fit. Might also help many others with the other shoes that you review in the future

Hey! Did you find that your blue pair stretched at all in the toe box area? I want to stay true to size but also considering going up half a size to avoid the dreaded and constant blue and black toenail but worried it'll affect ball feel too much. Thanks!

They they first dropped they were definitely k leather but the more recent pairs must be synthetic with a cow hide forefoot.

I’m in California and I would see a “Unavailable to Ship to California” due the use of Kangaroo Leather on these Premiers going back about two years. Now, I’m seeing some of the new Premier colorways recently being able to ship to CA. I think they gone away with Kangaroo leather.
It is weird as I live in Australia and Kangaroos are not an endangered species at all, in some rural parts they are a pest and in plague like numbers.

They must be leather. Premier III is said to be leather through the whole lifecycle. New Premier IV is supposed to sport the same synth leather the Tiempo already has.
Theoretically possible that Nike spoilered a special teaser edition. But very unlikely for this silo and they would have made a big hustle around that. I guess this was rumor and missinterpreted messaging for the upcoming Premier IV.
Every product has to be labeled with materials. Just look for the sticker saying what the upper is made off. Pretty sure you'll find the leather icon there.
And if it was sustainable, you would for sure find the Nike sunburst logo printed all over it as you correctly mentioned.
Little leak: There will be two more Premier IIIs. One aligning with the 30 Year Tiempos in the special edition colorway. And a really spectacular 90s style one in Black and Volt. And I can 110% ensure you this black one will be leather.

How long do you think these shoes will last, durability-wise? I bought a black and white version, but it doesn't seem as if they will last for consistent practice and games every week.
My older blue ones didn't last a ton of time either - started fraying a bit around the 2 month mark

I was looking into these today before I watched the video and started a chat with Nike. When asked what material the upper was I was told all premier and tiempo were kangaroo leather, which is false because new tiempos are synthetic then I was told that these specific ones, the gold color way are in their words cow leather and as new models come out they will be switching to synthetic material. So I’m guessing it’s based on color way and when it released?

Nike trying to confuse customers. I have exactly same, I have symboly on insole which saying upper is from leather and next to it is symbol for synthetic. That's why I'll asked Nike customer service about it. They say it is SYNTHETIC LEATHER! They also said black/white ones are also synthetic leather!

That's a really tough one! I think for breaking in boots and training I like the thin, and then my match socks are the thick ones

What is your size in normal shoes?
9.5 or 10 in regular shoes and running shoes
Leather. Some colorway finishes can really put a damper on the texture of the leather and make them feel faux.

The durability on these are horrible for people with a wide midfoot shape. I’ve been through 2 pairs and both have torn on the same spot, the seam on the outside of the foot. Premier II way better in my opinion.

Broke boy gang, just look for steals and deals. These boots were still at retail price. Luckily got a tekela v4 pro silver at the new balance clearance for half the price of the Nike premier retail price.
