if you are ever in the florence or sheffield area there is a pretty cool tackle shop called “grey’s tackle” in sheffield. it’s pretty cool shop they have lots of local made baits
Really enjoyed this video. Love the guy in the Yeti shirt eavesdropping on the convo, at many points he slides out of the frame: he's hanging around picking up what you're putting down.
@@mikeybalzz I would not do well running my own tackle shop. I'd need a mean old lady to run it and do the books. Like dont even give me a key to the place, just cut me a check once a month.
Fisherman’s Central up towards Akron Ohio is pretty sick. I’m not too familiar with bodies of water around because I’m still fairly new to Ohio. Put it this way, it’s so sick that for my birthday all I wanted to do was go there. It’s about 2 hours from my house
Reed’s Family Outdoor Outfitters in Walker, MN on Leech Lake - local fishing/hunting shop been around 40 years that I know of. Great service and selection. Mostly known for Walleye fishing, but they got everything for Northern Pike , Musky, Perch, you name it. Grew up fishing that lake and visiting Reeds often with my grandpa in the 80s...
I really enjoyed this video. I absolutely love talking tackle. I almost worked at a shop on the weekends for free just to do so. I wish you much success at your new home base 🙏
Now Mikey if I had known you would be at water front. I could have been there in about 10 minutes with boat. Just saying! Water fronts a good shop. They were a sponsor for DAR School fishing team year before last. My son is on the DAR fishing team. I know he wants to meet you and get some fishing tips. Hint hint! So when you get a chance to visit GTO in Guntersville let us know. Maybe a meet and greet..
i'm gonna be at waterfront a whole bunch ahahhahah, i love fishing gville. shoot me a message on insta or fb would be happy to come down and hang out with the team!
I don't have Instagram but my son does. My son has been sending you messages on Instagram. I'm sure he's been blowing up your account. We might be launching out from water front tomorrow. We hit up Honeycomb today. Hitting up docks on South side of river.
Mike man I have a Challenge for you. Go to Lake Neely Henry in AL and catch some fish anywhere in that whole entire Lake. I have been there 4 time in the last 3 weeks and only caught 2 fish. There is bait everywhere, up the lake and down the lake. You see fish but they are all small 10" fish. My next 3 tournaments are no Neely Henry and I can't catch a keeper.
dude that's rough!!! i'm actually about to get on the road or it would be challenge accepted. have you tried looking shallow in the creeks, they seem to move back in there late summer.
@@mikeybalzz Neely Henry is a funny place. You get off the main lake and everything turns into 2 to 3ft of water in the creeks. UP lake look like a river and down lake looks more like a lake. Most docks are in 3ft of water. It's just crazy. I wish I could meet you down there. I would like to see how you would attack this lake.
mikeybalzz fishing I come that they was pumping some during the week. The other thing is you see bait fish everywhere. Balls of bait just floating around round. I have panoptics on boat. I can see the fish. They are holding at 15ft on the main lake. They have been that way for a month. But the will not bit. But thanks for the Conversation and taking the time out to reply. Love your stuff!
i'm all about cool baits and good people, mike bucca the designer of the bull shad is GOOD PEOPLE and the bait kills it. easy to love something like that!
mikeybalzz fishing it is called Perkins. I haven’t been that way in several years so I don’t know if they have closed. It is at the corner of coffee road and clayborn liles drive. Which is right before where you turn to go into McFarland park in Florence

My bigger scroungers with the sniper shad just spin in circles and twists the line. Anyone else experience that? Speaking of Scottsboro Tackle, you should check them out, they have custom baits.
