ITN News Summary & TVS Closedown - 1988

6th / 7th March 1988 - TVS closes down without an announcer (how rude!) following Night Network, an ITN News Summary and Company

Thank you for this of course. Night Network ran from August 1987 to March 1989 on ITV in most areas then at the time. It was on weekends, not weekdays though. I think it ran from 1.00-4.00am if I remember rightly, but am not too sure there though. I live in the London area so did not see TVS though. As far as I know, they did not close down there though.

Thanks for uploading this, from the short lived era when TVS took Night Network from LWT but closed down afterwards, needless to say TVS went 24 hours not too long afterwards. Safe to say the duty announcer probably went home at 1:00am, an educated guess would be that this closedown would be 3:30/4am...

I'll never understand why there closed down at 4am. An hour later was the morning news and then TVAM. bonkers
