Harstem was so on point that he predicted Lowko's response a few times, and each time was amazing. It was almost like they were having a dialogue. I was blown away by how well it matched up. Unbelievable! :D

@@jayemmzz8301 uhm, mech is not mobile, and Zerg can just force Terran into either splitting their army, or attack where the mech force are not their. The whole point of playing Zerg is not to trade effectively, its to kill as many units as you can.

And that is what humility looks like, I know it's strange for this generation to wrap their heads around but people used to be like that all the time. They would take criticism and use it to improve themselves, unlike today if you criticize they scream at you and call you a bigot!

I don't think Lowko went for the Green pill. Considering he went with all sorts of compositions, I think Lowko went for all the pills, got high, and that's how we ended up with this game.
I love the fact that Harstem is telling Lowko to build static defense at his bases around 27:10, which is something that we all know Lowko forgets to do most of the time xD

Static defense is something Harstem also forgets to do a lot, especially with his recent foray into playing Terran.

@@whirlwind872 It doesn't have to be a waste of resources. You have a supply cap of 200. If you need to defend more places than that cap limit can allow, why not have some static defenses to at least slow down the attack when it comes? Sure, you rebuild your army a little bit slower spending some of it on static defenses, but if you can't afford a couple of turrets, you're probably losing anyway.

Grandmaster on NA and only 5k mmr isn't that great. Probably the lowest end possible for grandmaster league. Its the reason why people look at lowko games for fun, not for advice. Especially when it comes to balance patch reviews. Lowko is more of a caster than a player with his content.

This video was so fun to watch I finally bit the bullet and started downloading StarCraft 2. Wonder if I can get back into the swing of things, or be doomed to wind up on one of Winter's Bronze League Heroes.
Edit: I totally forgot how hard this game is lol. How do you remember to build workers, army, get upgrades, spread creep, and expand?!?!? Kind of overwhelming.
You do those things one at a time, eventually you'll be doing them one at a time incredibly fast and consistently.
@@NoTLucas Starting to realize that. Talked to people in general chat and they recommended Winter's guide to zerg. Watched it and took the lesson to heart, and I won my first ranked game.
Still got a lot to learn though ._.
@@Vevvev8 Another great series to watch is ViBE's bronze to GM too. He has one for each race as well. Here's my best advice for you that Harstem always gives - nailing a build order is INCREDIBLYYYYY important. Find an easy build order on the spawningtool website and practice it against very easy AI like 20+ times, until you can perform it PERFECTLY, getting all the units and structures at the exact right times. You're gonna screw it up tons of times, but the point is to do it with zero pressure on you so you can really learn it (thats why you strictly do it against very easy AI). But seriously though, if you are following the build 20 seconds late, that's not good enough. Force yourself to REALLY learn it perfectly. If you can nail some build orders down I guarantee you can easily get to diamond with them just by A-moving across the map

TrueCarthaginian there is in fact a three strikes thing in us law. It's very bad and damaging
@@HamidKarzai Only in a few states, and then for different offenses. In California, for example, three felonies is a mandatory life term, which is a violation of the Constitution (which the courts have not properly recognized yet). In a few states, that result only arises from two or more convictions for particularly heinous crimes, like murder.
There are more states where multiple previous felony convictions increase the minimum sentence of the next conviction, but it's not actually a "three strikes" law unless it results in life imprisonment based on previous convictions.
In some cases (notably California), it is indeed very bad and damaging. In others, it's really no different than if the laws didn't exists, because judges faced with a the requisite criminal history would impose the same sentences anyway (e.g. if you've murdered in the past and get convicted of doing it again, you don't need a special law to predict that a judge is going to put you away for life).

@@manupainkiller protoss units who can beat more stuff with less stuff : dark templars, high templars, disruptors, also collosus& archons are super effective combo against terrans or zergs. SO what I said is especially apply for the protoss, I would say its not for the terrans who have crap units and have to make just more of them annd faster than you

So this is Lowko video reacting to Harstem video, that is reacting to a Lowko video? Sounds good!
My idea is to build evo chambers all over the map to keep vipers on full energy all the time. They cost only 125 minerals, they block enemy units - slowing all attacks and runbies, they help in fights a lot because some of enemy units target them instead of army units and every time enemy kills an evo chamber zerg has a bunch of broodlings added to his army. These benefits for 125 minerals might be good enough on their own even without vipers. I am kinda shocked all high level zergs don't do it yet.
As a electronic gamer, I love how you can take the criticism and build from it. You recognize your strengths and weaknesses and have fun with the game. I don't play Starcraft much anymore, but I fully enjoy watching your casts and your analyses. You are a great players and a role model for electronic gamers. Keep up the great work and thanks for being a stellar caster.

To Lowko's defense, Lowko is known for his late game. His early game is improving.
well, actually he wasnt that bad in the early game, still ahead 10k resources. It was his lategame here that lost him this match. Constantly switching tech actually cost resource while Terran doing nothing but sitting on Thor-Tank and slowly expanding the base.
I think his late game and macro are good. It is his impatience and early game that cause him lots of troubles. His opponent this game would probably laugh out loud every time Lowko immaturely switched unit composition.
@@wolfiepoe3032 That was his mid game and late game actually, switching up to Hydra-Corruptor, then adding banneling then making Viper then going to Lurker and then making Brood Lords. His army composition is pretty much a "rainbow" army which do nothing particularly well against Terran Mech.
@@wolfiepoe3032 I don't understand how anyone compliments either his micro or his macro at any time during the match. If by micro you understand best managing units in the context of a small fight, his corruptors rush head on in a full ground army and die, so I can't give that too much credit.
If by macro we talk about managing multiple things as fast as possible... again, the fact he sent all his army for each attack while he already saw over 3 times the enemy poking with BCs...
That's like saying he took the criticism well when he's throwing the shit all the ways... yea, he's not criticising the guy looking at his gameplay (because he's objectively better), but he goes to the point of calling his enemy "donkier" just because he played bad. Like, I went down but time to drag everyone down too
