      yourfavnurseb Thank you! And yes I plan on taking it 3-4 weeks later. After you graduate from my school we get a week off and go back and take a Nclex class its a week long, my school pays for it. I live in Michigan and the trainer's fly in from another state. So hopefully the class really helps.

    I've had so many non-nurses tell me nursing is easy and that those who say nursing school is "REALLY" hard are just over exaggerating! If you haven't been in a nurse's shoes, how can you comment, haha. I agree with the survival of the fittest theory! Let's be honest you want a nurse who (1) has a good understanding of the disease process and pharmacology and (2) can handle the rigors of nursing, to care for your loved ones. I graduated with my BSN and am currently working on my FNP (and trying to document my journey on YT but the way these classes and clinical are set up it's hard to be consistent, haha)! This was a really good post! New subbie!

      Hey girl. What I've learned is that soooooo many people that are nurses try there best to tell us and they even try to tell CNAs and PCT that what we do isnt hard or they try to explain our job to us...smh
      But, I'm trying to get to your level! I just subbed to your channel. Its def hard to manage life and still post vids, but really awesome and engaged subscribers make it worth while. What specialty are you in right now?

    • @BizzyBeeNursing
      @BizzyBeeNursing 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I wish everyone in the medical field just realized we work better as a team. Each member no matter the position is important! I've always appreciated the PCTs I worked with because I know my workload would be way more harder without their contribution. I'm currently working on my FNP. So far I really like geriatrics and oncology, but I'm still open to other branches of medicine. That's the thing I love about being a nurse you're not pigeon held to one are. FNP school is difficult but in the end it'll be worth it! Becoming a nurse was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Thanks for the sub. I truly appreciate it. Keep that great content coming

    Wow! You did a great job explaining what to expect in the nursing program. I was an EMT for 4 years and a Medical Assistant for 5 years. I'm finishing my pre-nursing classes now and hopefully the nursing program soon! Thanks for this video, I've watched a ton of nursing school videos and you did a great job of explaining what to expect! My challenge will be juggling a family (husband, and 2 girls 7 and 3 years old) and household duties. But I know time management is the key, as well as, allowing enough time for me to study, lol! Thanks for your video! I'm going to subscribe! 😊

      Hi there, have you looked at my how to study for NCLEX vids, they are for NCLEX but can also be applied to nursing school tests in general. Let me know what specifically you need help with, like are you changing answers? Is it your study methods? Do you not understand the material? I'll work on a vid, and let you know when I post it, in the meantime check out the nclex videos.
      Good luck and stay focused on your goals!

    I’m currently in school to become a LPN. I’m only 1 month in and I’m veerrry scared because everything is so rushed it’s either you sink or swim. I’m scared that I’m getting by but not fully understanding the body when it come to Bio.......especially when it comes to these big words....

    I'm not in Nursing or school right now, but my issue is that yes, I've went throughout school memorizing the information just for the exam, and not thoroughly understanding the material, so this has me nervous when it comes to considering a career in the healthcare field. I feel like I'm going to struggle.

    Hi Nurse B, so I’m extremely nervous I am debating between taking phlebotomy or just just straight into LVN. I’m so worried that I won’t be able to make it through the LVN or won’t be able to pay back the loan fast enough. Over here in LA it’s $22,000! And the Phlebotomy course is $2,500.00.. my question is; is it better to just throw myself into the LVN program and work my butt off or ease into it in the Phlebotomy program?

    Hi Nurse B, I graduated from high-school this year, and was looking to become an lvn. There are two lvn programs that I'm interested in: Hcc and Lone star. Hcc is at a level 1 for $4174, and Lone star is a level 2 for $2400. I'm not sure which one I should go for; level 1 sound like it won't be as difficult as level 2, but level 2 seems like it would be best career wise. Which one would you go for?

      Leamonta Ealy Hi, You're never going to remember everything, alot of what helps you to be a good nurse is on the job training. Its nothing to be afraid about a lil nervous yea but just stay positive and make sure that you do your best to prepare for school before you get in.

      When I was in nursing school I would ask my instructors if there was any legal nurse to patient ratio. Basically it always came down to No, but you have to protect your license so if you do not feel comfortable then its up to you to say/do something.

    What are the most important Classes for LPN to do 1st as far as prerequisites I live in Maryland

    • @yourfavnurseb9699
      @yourfavnurseb9699  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      T Campbell it really depends on the school. Some schools have the prereqs built into the program. If you are looking at a school that requires prereqs I would say start with your harder courses like science and math but mix them with a humanities course like English or a soft science like psych.
      It’s also important to start with the science and math because you may have to do prereqs for your prereqs. For example if you have to take A&P, biology is a prereq for that course, so you’ll want to take that first.
      Here’s a video that goes more in depth
      How to Plan Out Your Nursing Prereqs | All You Need to Know | YourFavNurseB th-cam.com/video/harVRdFZvHg/w-d-xo.html

    • @yourfavnurseb9699
      @yourfavnurseb9699  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it does make it easier BUT if you plan on going further you can use those towards your RN and prereqs are easier when you do them outside of a nursing program. You are able to really grasp the information and it will prepare you for school.
