This is the best episode so far: the setting, the side-characters, the back-story, the themes of morality Vs law and privilege, the almost David Lynchean finale, the emotional involvement of the cast, the superb pacing and descriptions of the DM (the cross-cutting as the party split at the gala was perfect!); TTRPGs don't get better than this!
Thanks for the kind words, I was really trying to illustrate the dichotomy between morality and privilege here and how money and power can warp that perspective, making the ghoulish seem celebratory.. then exploring how far that line really goes. Glad to see some folks caught on...
I love how Jason cheerfully dives right into the outro while the players are dealing with the emotional fallout of experiencing all that "benevolence."
Great episode. I really liked the way they brought the horrors of an anti-undead campaign into this social noble setting. And I really felt the emotion of each player and their character.

Omfg what an ending. This really is the best actual play ive ever watched! That said... 40g a night (2*20g) for a group who just git gifted 750g by their gm really shouldnt be worth the worry. A week is 280g. Its a hella lot of money, but it would still leave almost 500g (assuming they spemd sime on fod etc) which is still a crazy amount to have left.
Fan artists: if someone with more talent than I could please draw a team picture of the Knights in the outfits Jason describes starting at 36:35, we would all be super grateful 🙏🏽 Even better: if +Jason Bulmahn could somehow talk to the Paizo art team for an official version that would be amazing 😃

It's only an art auction, what could possibly happen at an art auction...? Awkward meetings with betrothed, art that triggers rage, Lysonn gets his heart broken, oh and art that KILLS. Yeah, that's pretty much every art show I've ever been to, lol!
One of my previous characters would've been like: "The one we want to get is looking vainly at a mirror? I'll ruin it for them and smash the mirror." I'd love to know how Jason would've dealt with that.

I like watching these but sometimes it is so painfully long watching people take so looooonnnnnggggg on their turns. I want to reach through the screen, grab their hands and place the damage dice in their hands along with their attack rolls... If they miss who cares.... but if they hit they can just add it up and move onto the next action.
These players, roll a die then don't say the number. When I DM I don't let that crap. You roll,. you announce the number. You get enough time to do whatever math there is, but then you say the number. You don't talk about the unannounced number, or role play while the roll is hanging. You announce the number.
Not agree at all. I only care for the total result in order to ease the flow of the game. I rather rage against players doing simple sums very slowly. I can't criticize them for roleplaying and describing their attack, it's always a great thing when players do that. It is less boring than just "I attack. Ok Roll. 17. Hit.".
In this particular game there is a sense in knowing the final result, after all if that is 10 more than DC you get a critical success! It's a bit daunting a times but, honestly, their RP is worth it. Sometimes I hope they just used a calculator or a dice app.
