I LOVE "The Traitors!!!" I've watched ALL The UK ones, 2 seasons of the Canadian one, the New Zealand one, the Australian one (2 seasons) and the end of the USA one but I just wanted to see the end and who won, and couldn't bear to sit through the whole season with the USA reality "stars" who are mostly "Real Housewives" and people like that. Another show you might love is "Hunted!!!!" It's super good ---- people (usually duos) have to evade professional investigators for a month to win a jackpot. There are several seasons (6, I think?) and 2 "Celebrity Hunted" seasons on UK Channel 4 .... I watch it with my VPN. And ... are you watching "The Great Pottery Throwdown" on BBC 1?
I just want to thank you for sharing a realistic health journey. I've looked up to you for years, and have started incorporating joyful movement, and eating well and doing my best to celebrate my body and it's been HARD. Just. Thank you.
Ok if you go back to that coffee shop, right around the corner is Suay which is this amazing upcycled clothing place! They make everything out of upcycled material and they also fix minor things if you bring in your clothes (like zippers, etc) and every month they do a big dye bath so you can refresh clothing you have with a new color! Would love to see what you find there!
@@CarrieDaytonVlogs yesss!! I would love to hear what you think! I don’t see them mentioned super often but they have such a cool, sustainable mission! ✨
Tubing mascara is the only one I use as I have quite oily skin around eyes and traditional mascara gives me panda eyes. The tubing formula puts little ‘socks’ over the lash so when you want to take them off, just put face under shower and very gently wiggle fingers over lashes and pull the socks off! I love it. Haven’t tired the milani one as we don’t get it easily in Australia.
I think the thing about drugstore hair products that make our hair feel nicer is that they have silicones in them which help with softness and manageability and they have detergents that are actually strong enough to clean the scalp. Most of the high end products omit those things as if they’re evil and then our hair looks and feels like crap. I also recently switched to Pantene as well.
Drugstore makeup is honestly so good now it’s highly likely theres an elf dupe for whatever high end makeup product you like 😘 signed, a forever drugstore girlie
I was actually just talking with a friend about how back in the day when I was using cheap Pantene and Garnier fructis every day and doing everything the “wrong” way my hair looked better than it does now using expensive products, spacing out my washes, and doing things the “right” way. I think at the end of the day we all just have to do what works for us. If that’s the cheap shampoo for you I say go for it ❤️
Ok with the shampoo and conditioner: SAAAMMMEE!!!! I tried all the expensive, high end, brands a salon brands and I found I either didn’t notice a difference or it made my hair worse. I love Garnier grow strong it smells like green apple and it’s like $5 a bottle! And my hair has never been shinier and it grows so fast now too.
Girl I am SO glad I’m not the only one who uses Pantene! I have very thin fine hair, and post partum hormones causes it to feel almost waxy after shampooing when I use high end products. Pantene is the only thing that actually CLEANS my hair, and my hair feels better when I use it! So happy I’m not the only one😅
Pantene pro v has been such a game changer. I’m so with you I went from using $38 shampoo with terrible hair and finally my hair feels clean with Pantene.
I definitely try to balance the drugstore/high end makeup products. I have realized there are certain parts of my makeup routine (foundation, blush, contour, face base overall lol) that I prefer to splurge on but am fine with getting “dupes” or finding really good drugstore formulas in other areas of my makeup (lips, eyes, setting spray). Sometimes the money is worth it for what sets up your look, but I find myself not having “go-to” lip color choice or mascara preferences even so I’m fine to just grab whatever! 😊
I totally agree about the high end vs low end hair products!! My hair felt so damaged by so many “high end” products and I would try a million different things bc I thought it was me, but I’ve found that my hair feels and looks healthier when I use low end products. The only high end hair products I think are worth it are like blow dry balm or finishing spray, things like that. But shampoo and conditioner? I’d rather go low end lol
I love at the end of vlogs when you say, “I’ve done all this stuff now it’s time to chill”. Literally me daily and this needs to be more socially accepted 😂😂😂
Ok shampoo and conditioner I LOVE L’Oréal ! Give that a try! I’ve used and have pantene too but prefer L’Oréal !!! I use the purple one “hyaluron pump”
Me too. I spent likes $70 on high end shampoo and after awhile my hair started to feel like straw. Switched back to loreal everpure and my hair feels great!
I totally get what you're saying about spending so much money on cosmetics/toileteries HOWEVER as a fellow PCOS girlie chemicals in most products are endocrine (hormone) disruptors and even if e.g. cheap shampoo doesn't make your hair worse it can make your PCOS much worse. So opting for organic, natural products has benefits for areas not addressed by the immediate product. ❤
Love that you’ve been exploring other parts of LA🥰 there is more to LA than the west side. I’ was born and raised in LA and lived in the west side, miracle mile and now in Glendale. Definitely much to see beyond the west side 🥰
I use the tubing mascara (L'oreal brand), and I make the removal a little relaxing ritual at night. I take a washcloth soaked in warm water and hold it on my lashes, eyes closed, for about 30 secs. Then wiggle the cloth a little to remove tubes. Repeat with a clean side of the cloth until all mascara is gone. I don't get any smearing this way. And it's nice for winding down at night and soothing my headache-y-ness (not a word).
Carrie, I relate to what you said about getting back into drug store products. I don't see much difference when using more luxury brands. I try to look for more eco-friendly high end products but I don't even know if a lot of it is greenwashing? I'm using Pantene now too (jumbo size from Costco) and it has been fine!
My mom’s a hairdresser and she got so mad at me for using drugstore shampoo/conditioner when I left for school lol. But she’s recently conceded that some of them probably aren’t as bad as they used to be. I love the garnier fructis silicone free line, it’s really brought out my waves. I think the biggest problem is build up, so it might make more sense to invest in a good clarifying shampoo rather than always paying for high end shampoo/conditioner!
I was on the salon shampoo and conditioner train for awhile, and I had so much hair fall out in the shower. I didn’t change anything else about my routine, diet, meds, anything. I went back to drugstore hair stuff, and I barely lose hair now. I swear “salon” quality is just a money grab.
Affordable shampoo works so well because of the bad stuff in it like wax lol! I use it too cause those $30 bottles were not doing my hair any good. Also, you should do a main channel video with drugstore dupes of your expensive ones!! I think that’ll be super helpful! Anyways love seeing ur vids 🤗
I think you guys have a Costco membership, and the Kirkland Signature shampoo and conditioner (red for shampoo and white conditioner tall bottle with a pump) is just Pureology but so much less money. I have actually noticed a difference in my hair switching from Dove to this, so I wanted to mention it!
Speaking of Pantene, I always loved that product but was told it wasn’t good for my hair. The expensive product doesn’t seem much different. When I’m done with this expensive product I’m going back to Pantene too. Added bonus, I can get it at Costco 😊
I have been using L’Oréal Elvive shamp/cond for the last 6mo after running out of Pureology and my stylist has complimented my hair health consistently but has no idea I switched.
Honestly I agree re: hair products. My hair seems to like the cheap stuff just fine - there's some quite nice drug store hair products out there. It's also way more convenient to purchase, I don't want to be using something I have to go to the salon to purchase when I run out.
Are you telling me we can finally stop pretending that $25 shampoo is NOT the fix we think it is?! 😂 I recently switched from freaking R&Co shampoo/conditioner to AUSSIE and had the same experience!!
I was just saying to a friend recently that the high end hair products don't make my hair feel good at all. And that the same old drugstore brand I used as a teen actually makes it feel so much nicer. Glad it's not just me.
Okay I recently switched from my highend shampoo too bc my scalp was literally SO irritated and red and flakey and itchy. So I’m experimenting with Herbal Essence / L’Oreal to see which is better for me, but so far, my scalp looks and feels MUCH less irritated and itchy. And girl THE SHOCK when I realized it was like $5 for cheap shampoo vs $40+ LITERALY PAINED ME TO REALIZE HOW MUCH MONEY IVE WASTED ON HIGH END SHIT
Omgoodness I couldn’t agree more, my hair was trash!! I went back to drugstore too- now I’m on an expensive one that my hair likes and it was a random find- it was what my hairdressers salon had at the sink (it was a new salon for her) and my hair drank it up and it’s the only reason but definitely no judgement here!! Before I got this Kevin Murphy product my hair loved herbal essence 😂 nothing but love for you and Drew ❤️
I've been completely converted to tubing mascara. Thrive Causemetics is the best one though it is more expensive. I didn't love the ones from Milani and Essence.
Hi Miss Carrie! Hope all is well with you. I would love it if you could link your black frames for me. I love them, and thought they would look better on me than the ones I currently have. Thank you so much in advance. 😊
Years ago a hairdresser I used to go to always gave me the sample size of shampoo and conditioner that was his formula - it made my hair so dry and brittle II never bought it. The worst.
Yessss expensive shampoo/conditioner makes my hair feel like straw and get so frizzy, and then I need like 10 more products to make it any level of manageable. I swear that's just the point of it all! p.s. all hail feta eggs SO GOOD
No idea what happened around 5:40 lol that’s definitely a TH-cam glitch sorry about that!!

I parked there!!! Karina was telling me about it, I’m definitely going to have to go back and check it out 🫶

Other way to get off is hold a wet cloth over eye for 30 seconds then wipe down.

Caveat beeing if you're a curly girl can destroy the curls. I used mid range products and so much different the built up with silicones is no Bueno!
Drugstore makeup is honestly so good now it’s highly likely theres an elf dupe for whatever high end makeup product you like 😘 signed, a forever drugstore girlie
The workout set in the beginning is SO cute and looks so cute on you!!
I was just hopping to the comments to say the same thing!!
Lunch and Carrie speaking truth about expensive shampoo!! ❤
If that’s the cheap shampoo for you I say go for it ❤️
OMG I did the exact same thing switched back to pantene... I'm with you
Ok with the shampoo and conditioner: SAAAMMMEE!!!! I tried all the expensive, high end, brands a salon brands and I found I either didn’t notice a difference or it made my hair worse. Girl yes! The red nails! I will forever love a red nail. Classic!
14:07 "hello? Am i in heaven?"😂
This moment sent me! 😂 I cackled!
Pantene pro v has been such a game changer. I’m so with you I went from using $38 shampoo with terrible hair and finally my hair feels clean with Pantene.
I LOVE pantene pro-v! I have long hair and get compliments on it a lot and pantene is my jam.
so excited for the main channel video on your movement journey!! please share where the green workout set is from, looks so cute on you im obsessed
Wow we are so blessed to have so many Carrie uploads!!!!!!
I was getting major Lizzie McGuire vibes with your look at 15:05 and it made me feel so nostalgic 🥰
you seem really happy lately and it's really nice to see
I recommended Abbey too! I love her channel and her advice has helped my hair a ton!
omg try ELF’s lash and roll mascara for a separating and curling mascara! the milani mascara was too wet for my liking
I was having a rough day and was thinking I could really watch a Carrie video and when I got home saw you posted a new one!! 💛
OMG my lunch, new Carrie Dayton vid, and the first view/like/comment happy leap month to me.
I definitely try to balance the drugstore/high end makeup products. You and Drew in the bathroom reminded me of old-school Jenna Marbles trying some weird beauty thing and Julien being supportive lol. I love it!
The Pantene moisture shampoo and conditioner are my FAVOURITES. They smell incredible!!
I’ve been using Pantene Essential Botanicals and my hair has been feeling great! And I buy the giant bottle when it’s on sale at Costco
I love at the end of vlogs when you say, “I’ve done all this stuff now it’s time to chill”. Literally me daily and this needs to be more socially accepted 😂😂😂
I'm obsessed with your green workout set! Where is it from?
Ok shampoo and conditioner I LOVE L’Oréal ! Give that a try! I’ve used and have pantene too but prefer L’Oréal !!! I use the purple one “hyaluron pump”

Carrie, thank you for just being you! 💛
I'm a Christian so I loved that you used the song "without you" by Josh Brent ✨💖
Love that you’ve been exploring other parts of LA🥰 there is more to LA than the west side. I’ was born and raised in LA and lived in the west side, miracle mile and now in Glendale. Definitely much to see beyond the west side 🥰
Love your realness..I am 70 and refused to buy those expensive products a long time ago
Abbey Young recommends Pantene Volume & Body as a good clarifying shampoo. She's on the TH-cam. :)
I use the tubing mascara (L'oreal brand), and I make the removal a little relaxing ritual at night. I take a washcloth soaked in warm water and hold it on my lashes, eyes closed, for about 30 secs. I love the Pantene… it is so relatable lol ❤
Carrie, I relate to what you said about getting back into drug store products. I don't see much difference when using more luxury brands. Your work out set in the opening clip💚 So cute and flattering! Where did you get it?
Yes would love to know where it’s from
Your outfit is giving Ted Lasso in the best way possible! 7:32
that green workout set is so cute! Where'd you get it???
Do you remember where you got your green workout outfit? It's so cute! I remember seeing in a video but can't remember where!
My mom’s a hairdresser and she got so mad at me for using drugstore shampoo/conditioner when I left for school lol. I feel the same about shampoo! I've tried several pricey brands and it leaves my hair feeling icky!
Omg I love that jumper, can you do a close up? Love you girlie xxxx
It’s not drugstore but i love the Tarte tubing mascara. OMG - i need to try those eggs. I love honey on scrambled eggs so I know i would love this ❤
"I cant see out of these" *holding them BY THE LENSE* lol
I felt that about the shampoo, Pantene smells pretty good. But I like to get my hair stuff from Ulta when it’s on sale
Carrie.. I just love your vlogs
I’ve genuinely been thinking your hair has been looking soooo amazing lately so maybe Pantene for the win!
You should try grilled halloumi and honey. Hands down best salty/sweet combo
I was on the salon shampoo and conditioner train for awhile, and I had so much hair fall out in the shower. I didn’t change anything else about my routine, diet, meds, anything. I went back to drugstore hair stuff, and I barely lose hair now. I swear “salon” quality is just a money grab.

The workout set at the beginning is gorgeous! Where could i find one?
I have been using Nexxus products that I bought from Costco for $20 for both shampoo & conditioner-super massive bottles. So I totally get you.
Excited to hear about that workout.
I have been using L’Oréal Elvive shamp/cond for the last 6mo after running out of Pureology and my stylist has complimented my hair health consistently but has no idea I switched.

i’m back on my drugstore kick as well - i only buy higher end stuff to support bipoc-owned brands. otherwise the extra cost isn’t worth it anymore!
Are you telling me we can finally stop pretending that $25 shampoo is NOT the fix we think it is?! 😂 I recently switched from freaking R&Co shampoo/conditioner to AUSSIE and had the same experience!!
I bought Pantene yesterday over my usual redken. I have an app that tells you good/bad ingredients and Pantene was good rekden was bad!
I was just saying to a friend recently that the high end hair products don't make my hair feel good at all. And that the same old drugstore brand I used as a teen actually makes it feel so much nicer. Glad it's not just me.

I've been completely converted to tubing mascara. Thrive Causemetics is the best one though it is more expensive. I didn't love the ones from Milani and Essence.
I recently got back to Panete all about the less expensive products that work. Cvs had been having coupons for getting the shampoo and conditioner
Can you link your bathroom towels? I remember they were from Society6 but I can't find them!
Kirkland (Costco) brand shampoo and conditioner are actually some of the best I've tried for my hair - and it's like $9 for a gigantic bottle lol.
On your main channel, please do a makeover hair care makeup routine with drugstore products 😊
I'm wearing my old navy active skort as I'm watching this🤣
And it's 65 in Missouri when it's normally 20 degrees here in January. So weird.
I use herbal essence sulfate free shampoo and conditioner with a Maui hair mask
I love your towels. I hope you see this and can link them. Thanks so much.
Heyy happy Friday carrie 🎉
I switched to Pantene as well as I felt like the expensive ones never left it feeling as clean.
Where is the pink sweatshirt from?! I love it!!
LOL I also switched over to Pantene and honestly my wallet and my hair are happy!
That set in the beginning 😍 How can I get it?!
Believe it or not I’ve found that wet n wild mascara is the best drugstore brand. You wouldn’t think it would be but it really is the best 😊
Aviator glasses 👓 all the time ❤
which lash serum do you use?
Workout set link please!!
Hi Miss Carrie! Hope all is well with you. I would love it if you could link your black frames for me. I love them, and thought they would look better on me than the ones I currently have. Thank you so much in advance. 😊
Oh yum I want to try but going to use hot honey
I really like Pantene! But my hair is very healthy and not color treated.
In the intro: is that Nate?! He's my Co-Pilot coach too!
Years ago a hairdresser I used to go to always gave me the sample size of shampoo and conditioner that was his formula - it made my hair so dry and brittle II never bought it. The worst.
Smoothie recipes!!!
Proud to use drugstore shampoo and conditioner too 😂
Yessss expensive shampoo/conditioner makes my hair feel like straw and get so frizzy, and then I need like 10 more products to make it any level of manageable. I swear that's just the point of it all! p.s. all hail feta eggs SO GOOD
Would love more affordable content
“If you sweat… or cry.” Haha
what app are you using to watch The Traitors UK? (we have a vpn already)
It’s on US peacock!
Thank you!!
we stan honey feta eggs
I love ouai. While it's more expensive than drug store, my hair is the best it's been for awhile...even with aging and hormone craziness.
Love to see your workouts - have you thought about working with weights? Very beneficial for women
I love Pantene =)
