The CGMA admittedly we have done a lot of work with TM Krishna, mainly because we love his music. But that does not mean we have not worked with other Carnatic artistes. Other than Sanjay Subrahmanyan, we’ve also presented concerts by the very talented Ramakrishnan Murthy, Ramana Balachandhran, Vidushi Rama Ravi, Vidushi Alamelu Mani and Amritha Murali. We’ve also featured Ashwath Narayanan, Shruthi Sagar and Brindha Manickavasakan at a recent festival we hosted in Chennai. Those videos will be released in the near future. So arguably, we’d like to think we have a balanced outlook. One thing we’d like to bring to your notice is that we strongly believe that both Vidushis Rama Ravi and Alamelu Mani have performed exquisite music at our concerts, but there videos on our channel have been largely ignored. This has saddened us tremendously. It proves to us too that the viewing public of Carnatic music also has a skewed appreciation of this beautiful art form.
