I probably would agree. I respect all's opinion. But I have to give it to part one of the series. When it stayed true to the car culture. Without all the drama and plot twists. It was just You. Your Car. And competition. Thats whats its about. I love it. But I see your point though.
As far as I know part 1 is commonly considered the worst, bad driving, bad cgi, bad plot, dom yet didn't even know what type of character he wants to be, etc. But I also think the first movie is the best. For a while I thought that Tokyo Drift wins because it's so campy it's fucking cool, but in my country FF1 airs on TV like once every month, I ended up watching it like 20 times in total and at some point long ago it just clicked and I admitted how much I like the film. And it's the most genuine portrayal of Paul Walker's character. I also think 5+ are great movies but the first is so different, it might be from a different series, and it's great.
The scene when they drift down the mountain with the squad and drift through the pedestrian is ONE of the most beautiful shots in the history of a car movie.
Oh like in the first one there's a undercover cop who pretends to be a street racer to track a group of hijacker that steals a dvd players, or a two childhood best friends tries to stop the biggest drug lord in miami that's the old fast and furious you talking about?
