    I left the farm long before rubber tracks came along, our corn and bean rows were far enough apart, with the exception of after wheat beans, that the combines ran in the furrows and the only issues with wear on the tires was transporting them on the road. It was not until I watched this channel that I became aware of corn stalks causing such damage to tires and rubber tracks. I left before there was any no till planting except by a very few very forward thinking individuals. I will never return to a farm but I have learned an amazing amount from your channel. Keep up the good work and the explanations, I know I am not the only person who loves to learn about how the world around us works.

      I do not like filming on the dusty side but I often am because of the sun. Especially in the fall wether it’s in the morning or afternoon the sun is low in the sky and bright. If I filmed on the other side of the machine you would see a bright blur because of the sun. Most often the direction of the wind and sun are at odds.

    • @bigtractorpower
      @bigtractorpower  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Cole it’s not an issue to walk or stand on the seeded ground. I often film in unharvested grain as well. I am careful in standing Crop to walk around it. I have to film on the dusty side often to show a blue sky if I filmed on the seeded side of this air drill you would see a bright blurt from
      The sun

      They are drilling at a 90 degree angle. The drill is going to crush the stalks anyways. With this roller the farm is seeing far less wear on their 50 and 60ft 1890s. They were having to replace disks and packers a bunch before these stalk rollers.
