our society has 5 dogs and stray cats. We feed them. we are fantastic guys. and we dont come from a traditional rajput family from rajasthan. But the whole village has a son is in army. We at 4 O clock go to our field and plough it feed our cattles and do our daily chores. The whole day we make our food, we cook our food and feed our country while our sons protect the country. If officers are graduates of the same NDA course, they might still be reasonably said to be course mates. And army officer trained in their respective academies.. but the time period and the time of training has been same..... They may never have been met... But still will be called as coursemates...... In India.. I have heard it from many veterans... U can check Lt CDR bijay Nair's profile.. he is a Navy veteran... But considers captain saurav Kalia (KIA in 1999 Kargil, Indian Army) as his coursemate... U can listen to others also...!
@@bittu9906 I can tell you with absolute certainty that is not how things work in the Indian military. If officers are graduates of the same NDA course, they might still be reasonably said to be course mates.
In no other circumstances they are course mates in any meaningful way or if they did a professional in-service course together, like in Gaurav's case.

Secondly if u find a newspaper cutting of 1993 Combined defence services merit list.... Gaurav sir's and saurabh sir's both names u can see dere ... They have competed for the same examination... For which they training would be of same time... 1993-94... Thats why they are saying like that.... ..m just quoting them.. if it's wrong... Then may be u know better than our veterans... But still my heroes will be those veterans only.. 😅 👍
