On September 23, on the solo concert of Dimash in Almaty we saw the premiere of his song "The Story of One Sky". On September 24, at the artist's fan meeting, the audience saw the clip of this composition for the first time.
Dimash Qudaibergen’s 12-minute work is dedicated to the unity of people on our planet. We are all divided into races, nations and religions, but we are all children of one planet and live under one sky. Life is the highest value.

I personally love the 10 Commandments, easy to practice. Trust me some people need rules, while others are self- aware and can self monitor and correct self when needed. And The One Who created everything best know the strengths and weakness of His creations. Holy Books as guides to upright living, being good role models for the future. I think Dimash, coming from the country he does, sees that it is indeed possible. You should look into Kazakhstan a bit more, it's a very interesting beautiful country and although predominantly Muslim they have a mix of races and religions who coexist peacefully. The country is frequently the base for many environmental and political forums precisely because of it's neutrality.
Dimash first performed this song at the Congress of World Religious Leaders in his country in 2022 after which, he (a Muslim) was presented with a commemorative medal by the Pope.
He was listed as one of the 500 most influential Muslims and has recently been appointed by the United Nations as ambassador for The International Organisation for Migration.
He's constantly driving the message of peace and unity and frequently being called to give speeches for this purpose. His speech on The Ethics of Peace at The Central Asian Media Forum is on his channel and well worth watching as it's truly inspirational.

As sad as it is, I am thankful that we have people who are strong enough to take out the evil when they can. Thank you for your service. It takes special people to volunteer to enter service not knowing will be around the corner. Dimash is for peace. I think from all I have seen and heard from him in interviews he does not believe in bad countries, but bad governments perhaps. I feel the same. We will continue to see wars and sadly we never get the whole truth about any of it. I am not sure we get the truth about anything anymore. I really like the fact that you are very realistic in what you say. If you have not done Dimash, Sinful Passion, you really need to. I think it is out of 2018 and it does not matter which one you do. If you want an MV, do Be With Me. It is a totally different Dimash. Fun video. He even has a fight scene and it is a light hearted video.

for DIMASH... i understand the problem with version choosing as everyone has favourite version and want you to react to their version and i understand why you want to choose just one version but... if you will react to KNOW there is one version that is much different then official one... from ARNAU TOUR in Kiev. this is vocalized version and i believe you should react to both MV and vocalized, maybe even in one go
I know you said you don't want to react to "Live" performances. But you really need to react to Dimash's Almaty concert version of "The Story of One Sky" because it's truly incredible and you won't regret it.

Others can explain the story in more detail. The 3 kids in the beginning are now adults. Dimash’s character married the girl. The girl he finds killed is their daughter. His wife is giving birth to their son. The other boy becomes the dictator. He never puts on the necklace. There is lots of symbolism. I urge you to research to learn more. Masterpiece composed by Dimash. Took him 3 years. Cost $7M. He wrote the screenplay. It was all a result of this incredible blessing. He will be remembered hundreds of years from now. Dimash, a Muslim man, was awarded by the Pope. His plea, prayer comes from depth of his soul.

Dimash named his fans Dears, when he first became an overnight sensation. The interviewers asked him what his fans will be called. He never even had to think, immediately he said they are his Dears. They are dear to him like family. ❤

Ich selbst kann mir diesen Film nicht oft genug anschauen und entdecke immer wieder neue Fakten. 3 Freunde, die am Ende alle tot sind ( sie stirbt bei der Geburt des 2. Kindes ), die getötete gemeinsame Tochter, die Kette , die man ganz kurz beim ersten Mal Zeigen des Diktators sehen kann, die Weltreligionen , die alle gezeigt werden und und und.... Ich fand es sehr bemerkenswert, dass dieser Song dich sehr berührt haben muss - das sieht man daran, dass du dir häufig durch den Bart streichst. Sehr sympathisch !!!

👉 That is the grandiose and impressive result of three years of compositional work by Dimash Qudaibergen.
This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. It is about the call to unite, to stop dividing each other along national, social, religious lines in order to preserve life, love, friendship, and the land for our children.
Story: The clip is divided into several parts. One day the friend saves the protagonist when he almost drowns. The three children are friends and their common external symbol is the necklace (gnomon).
Both boys are in love with the girl. But she chooses “Dimash”. The other boy feels hurt.
The pendant is a gnomon, the shadow hand of a sundial, which served as a nautical compass in ancient times. This symbol is upside down on the uniforms. (That's not how it works.)
It's war. The children are grown and the two boys have parted ways. Dimash's childhood friend has become the country's president/general and mercilessly follows his twisted ideology.
As an antagonist (He is the Piper - based on the “Pied Piper of Hamelin”), he carries the idea of a saving war:
“Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give freedom to the world. A world where every city, every home is one. We accompany everyone who is ready to start this new life. Anyone who resists has no place with us. I choose freedom. The world is my oyster and I want to give it to you… War is the way to a united people!”
The main character, Dimash, also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love.
He's struggling, he's confused, he's in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife and his young daughter.
When he finally comes home, he is horrified to discover that his entire family has been killed. His wife has disappeared and his little daughter is dead. The loss of his daughter almost drives him crazy.
(Dimash says in a growling voice: Адам керуен, өмір жол. Man is a caravan, life is a road. - Kazakh proverb)
He wants revenge and an end to the horror. He shoots the general, his childhood friend and former lifesaver... and is killed himself.
The protagonist's wife survives with the help of people who know that she is the one who will give birth to a special child.
The many pilgrims are people of all religions who walk together the arduous path to the light, to a place of hope, truth and peace.
One day, the protagonist's son grew up to be one of their leaders.
The words at the end of the video are from the "Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together" signed by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb, on February 4, 2019. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting.

My opinion: The whole song is an outcry. Dimash's unmistakable emotionally charged voice draws you into the video. I was totally hypnotized. My heart aches because of the wars and misery in this world. The greed, envy and intolerance of men will wipe them off the face of the earth if they do not come to their senses. Children and women are targeted victims of annihilation and rape in wars. But they are not just victims or mothers. They are half of humanity. Where are they? Why don't the women climb the mountain side by side with the men and head towards the sunrise and a better future? I only see men running mercilessly past a collapsed comrade-in-arms. Nobody helps him. What future can such a humanity await? Will anything ever change?

Hello friend! Thank you for your sincere reaction! When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least!
Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was walking under the overpass, also when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that?
Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony and through his many charities. He is a Legend in the making and will go down in History.
This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it:
This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, so the other boy grew resentful over time, started a war, using the symbol of the necklace given to him by his friend Dimash, as the crest on his army uniform.
1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end.
2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end.
3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war.
“People are the caravan…. Life is the way”: Dimash spoke these words in Kazakh, when he found his daughter dead.
For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim or (Shepard or a Wise Man) at the end of the video was Dimash’s baby boy, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love, and harmony.

The child was Dimash's ( the soldier ) the woman was his wife. The bad guy was his friend. This video is chilling, but the music is fantastic. Watching Dimash sing it in concert, was an emotional roller coaster. No other can sing like Dimash. He is the only one. Thanks for your reaction.
