I attended a lure coursing event in the 80s...loved it!! But never owned a "registered" sight hound. So the answer was NO. NOW I'm old..my dogs..not sighthounds..small mixed..would LOVE this. They love to run squirrel or anything that runs. Never heard of CAT OR FAST CAT..until last night when I found a video. I'm sure there aren't any trials near me tho. So did I miss it...NO mixed breeds..only purebred or dogs who look like purebred
Can my Siberian husky that’s not AKC registered do the fast cat test? Should I sign him up? There’s one coming to my home town in October :). He’s a speed demon and we really wanna get him into stuff like this. Thank you for any help!
Yes! you can apply online for a PAL, a purebred alternative listing OR a Canine partner number. The PAL takes longer and requires photos to be submitted. the canine partner number is instant. www.akc.org/register/information/purebred-alternative-listing-pal/
I have a high drive golden retriever and the first time we tried fast cat he was amazing, after that he won’t chase it. I don’t know what happened and why he all of a sudden stopped. How do I fix this. He is a field golden with very high prey drive.
