If any of you just bought the FT4X you will notice a part that came ln the box that is not on the packing contents. It's black with a flat base and two metal tip pins. It took some time and web search but I found out it's for foreign power supply adapter. Should not even been shipped with a usa sold radio.
Just try programming one. I used chirp and the SCU35 cable. All the channels appear to go in but press transmit and Hey presto! ERROR!!!!!! My Baofengs are easier to use. The receiver is good but it's not much use. It stays at home and I use the Baofengs to talk to other hams
It's a Baofeng with a Yaesu badge. Nothing wrong with Baofeng's, I have 5 of them and a Yaesu FT3DR. But just know, you're buying an over-priced Baofeng with slightly better build quality.

Yes u can the frequency will be good still will have to be 446.005 wont really matter if off frequency by 1khz

Radio will need unlocking prob with code to stop the error message
