Puerto Rico - National (due to the dress and a more elegant, subdued catwalk)

Aruba - Universe (due to everything!)
The Bahamas - National (due to the dress and hairstyle)
Philippines - National (due to the dress and her confidence/facial expressions)
Colombia - Both (I think she looked magnificent and confident in both occasions)
South Africa - Both (the confidence of her National performance, but the dress of her Universe's)

Honestly, I was also rooting for Puerto Rico for a Top 5 slot. I love her swimsuit and evening gown performances and the gown itself really suits her well. Her downfall was her eg walk, it was awkward, it looked forced, her shoulder movements too awkward and too much hip swaying and longer strides. She could've toned it down a little.

pageant in the PH is more difficult to win than the international pageant. 😊 proud pinoy here.
I liked USA, south Africa, Porto Rico in their countries compition... You can see their was so much better than this time in miss universe compition India shocked and rocked so she won 😍

Funny how Thailand fans are now crying injustice because there were judges from India and the Philippines on the panel of judges and that’s the only reason why India and Philippines they made it as far as they did. That’s just plain ridiculous. So I guess what Thailand fans are saying is that the whole pageant was based off those 2 judges votes?? Get the F out! Thailand didn’t even make it to the top 16 and they are crying out injustice and unfairness? So next year I guess they should include a Thai judge so that they can at least place in the top 16 just to make them happy.

@@Aaadiiityaaa lol…there ya go😂. That says a lot right there that even having the MUO crown designer sponsor you doesn’t have any influence or guarantee to secure you a placement EVEN on the top 16. I won’t deny that Thailand has been sending some top notch girls, but when the cards don’t play out in your favor don’t single out other countries and accuse them of unfairness when the chances are all laid out on the table for each girl to prove their worthiness. So if the judges from India and Philippines did in fact play a roll in those two countries delegates placing the way they did can you tell me why France did not make it to the top 16???? Iris Mittinaire MU2016 who is from France was on the panel of judges! I get it…every country always has high expectations leading up to the pageant and emotions are high and have hopes that their country will place, but accusing other contestants of placing because their are judges in the panel from that country shows downright poor sportsmanship-just plain ludicrous. I can see an argumentative case if your country at least placed in the top 16, but she didn’t even make it to the top 16. That says a lot right there. This pageant and any pageant for that matter does stir up a lot of this type of controversy and I’m not saying that every country is perfect, but making accusations like this makes your country seem desperate and it’s embarrassing. This applies to any country - just except defeat and move on. For that matter-congratulations to all the girls that represented their countries well and more so to the girls that fought fairly to make it to the top 16-well deserved! To the top 5 and most especially to India-CONGRATS!

Philippines is a LATIN-HISPANIC country. It had been a colony of SPAIN for 336 years and the heavy influx of BASQUE in the country for 300 years. It suffered five years of hardship from Great Britain and another 5 years from Netherlands. THEN USA arrived, they eradicated SPANISH AND FRENCH, they replaced it with ENGLISH for 50 years.
