Fr I'm tired of people comparing him to the maknae line and discrediting his work like he's not being singing for 10 years and being one of the vocalist with widest range (according to bts he has the widest but other people say it's tae so I'm just gonna say he's one of the widest but if someone knows if I'm incorrect do let me know). People need to stop sleeping on him and recognize his talent and hard work
He definitely can sing the highest notes. Most of their songs with high notes were sung by Jin and Jimin especially their Japanese songs. Jin is just so talented and amazing
"It just doesn't suit his personality." I don't know if that's true, exactly. If you've seen the episode of Burn the Stage where Jin and Tae argue, Jin mentions that he actually gets depressed quite often, and that, a lot of the time, he'll just keep up a smile or play around to make the others happy. (And in other content, Jin has mentioned that making other people happy is what keeps him happy.) So he isn't carefree as he seems. I feel like a lot of the time, Jin uses the opportunities he gets to write on songs to really let his true emotions out. And sure, Epiphany came with a deeper purpose to be the intro to the final arc of the Love Yourself albums, but that doesn't mean it's not true to Jin's own feelings. It's funny because we've come to know him as Worldwide Handsome, and we know he jokes about being the most attractive, but Jin wasn't always the most confident in his looks (and he's still not confident in himself in other areas). It was just through telling himself this and joking around like that that he really did begin to start seeing himself in a more positive light. I just wanted to say to not write off Jin as just a jokester or anything u.u Hes definitely one of the mood-makers of BTS, but he's got a very deep personality and a lot that he keeps hidden.

I don’t think there’s anything more powerful than 70,000 people singing “im the one I should I love” Then they follow it with the truth untold and outro tear, both which are also really powerfully emotional. It’s an intense portion of an amazing concert. 💜💜 I also slept on Jin in the beginning which is a mistake for sure. I hope you check out “abyss” which only has a lyric version. He released it last dec when he was feeling down and questioning whether he deserved everything he has. It’s one of my favorite songs, not just by Jin but by bts.

Jin and Jimin have really high vocals, more in the usual female range. That's why the group sometimes have problems deciding in which key they will produce the song. Friends and Telepathy are two of those songs and both times the higher key prevailed :D Also Jin doesn't play the piano but asked to learn the chords of the song to add another layer to the performance He does play the guitar though and started learning the piano during the pandemic.
Don't underestimate Jin just cuz his joking around doesn't mean he can't sing he is on the group for no reason Jin high notes can break the chilling of your house his also equally good as Jimin, V and JK BTS have the best vocals Jin have been recognized by Grammy Academy as boy golden voice before react or unhesitating someone do some research on them
Actually the goofy Jin we see might not who he really is, he sure is very light hearted but he is very thoughtful and he is a very determined artist. His MBTI shows he is INTP!
I know this is a melancholic song, but the over-all message really resonates Jin's confident personality. He is unapologetically himself. Love his personality, and goofiness, especially when he and JK are together. They've all grown so much over the years. But I'd say he is the member that has the most growth, in terms of talent and showmanship. Being the eldest and one with no formal training in singing or dancing before joining BTS, he had to work hard, and it has paid off. Even RM is impressed by that.
I feel like Jin often hides a lot of his insecurities because of his lack of voice and dance background. It's one of the reasons I especially love this song, because it talks all about self-love and acceptance while seriously showcasing his talent. He's such a hard worker and this performance really displays that. Absolutely one of my favorites. On another note, it'd be fun for you to react to: Not Today, Danger, Dope, Interlude: Shadow, or Anpanman.
He had 4.5 years of vocal training, longest training period among BTS members. Even Jk took only 3 years of training. Jin was the best student according to their vocal coach and was fastest learner. He has a 4.5 stable octave range too
