Hi I believe you’ve messed up the calcs a bit. You only counted 1 dmg instance per Q tick (8.28%HP per Q tick) instead of 3 dmg instance per Q tick (24.84%HP per Q tick). For the base E Q N… combo, we go from 174,61%HP (E + Q skill + 15 Q ticks) as you calculated to 423,46%HP with 3 dmg instances per Q tick
Oh god you're right. Thanks for the correction. It's been a long week... Since videos are essentially immutable once they're uploaded to TH-cam, all I can do is change the thumbnail and update my spreadsheet with the corrected calculations which leads to the final combo doing 35% more damage than the first combo.

Something people may not know, her E applies hydro after the skill finishes, not during. So you can activate xiangling ult, swap to yelan, Naruto run around and tag everyone with pyronado, then become a vape god.

I just got her and she is just feel like xingqiu, even the role and playstyle is literally the same which is going to yelan jist for E and Q then swich People said she's a DPS xingqiu that will deal huge damage. While in the F2P level she's just deal 4-5k damage. And almost the same as my xingqiu which 3,5-4,5k dmg in fact that my Xingqiu can use bennett make him be able to deal 6-7k damage which is higher than yelan Sure the E skill is cool, but kinda clunky because running around for 3 second to mark every enemy in Battlefield is just not effective while other characters can just tap and swich

After Raiden, I think she's the second for me that got me obsessed, using her in every comp i can imagine. Well, Yae did as well, but hers are kinda more limited.. At least i wont cry a lot if i dont get kazu since i used my guarantee for her. worth it.
Wish I could've seen those artifacts so I could be reminded of how copium mine are. I suppose the trade off is ER time piece so HP is lower than recommended. His HP was 21k instead of minimum 30k
I really wanna see someone do a comp with yae,yelan,xingqiu and klee see their cults and yae's turret thingies will basically attack by themselves. It would be very fun to watch

Yae Miko is the only character I pull that I have regrets, I can't even be bothered to use her in overworld exploration when Fischl does it better and convenient
Yeah...while I don't regret pulling for Yae Miko, since I LOVE mono electro teams, I only ever use her in mono electro teams with C2 Raiden, C6 Sara, and most of the time Kazuha. Aside from that, I don't typically use her.
Yae isnt made for the Abyss, she has clunky animation but her damage is extremely secured and super effective against stalling and avoiding enemies like the flying wolf and snake boss. Just put her totem down and drink boba while they get zap to death. I pair her with cheap team Beidou, Bennett and Sucrose for like 20k per E proc and 200k total Q
For people having C1 or using Sacrificial Bow you can in a standard rotation do 2 E procs in rapid succession and are able to use the burst right away. That way you can catch all 8 particles during the burst animation and can switch to the next character without losing any time. And with about 200ER you have guaranteed full energy on cooldown even against a single enemy. For that reason, I prefer the Sac bow over the Favonius warbow.
This is perfect for Yelan mains! I suppose it's harder to think about the calcs if you consider all team members too, but at least we know how to max her personal damage!

I really enjoy using Yelan. She's a very flexible character who rewards technical play, and reminds me of Rosaria in that way a lot. Don't just use her as a XQ 2.0 burst bot, you're missing out if you do!
I've been using her with yoimiya. My two favorite characters so far. I don't really attack with yelan though just use her burst and switch to yoimiya and use her E
Raiden, Yelan, Jean and Mona are super fun together by the way. I don't know what will be her meta comp but it's the one I really enjoy playing the most and it absolutely destroyed the Mechano Array this Abyss rotation even without having Raiden constellations. I'm really happy that Yelan turned out to be a super fun character even if she's v ery similar to Xq

Great video, I primarily use Yelan as an elegy enabler for Hu Tao, though i have her weapon. Since she doesn’t get much on field time, Elegy though less person damage, gives a wider team buff.
I tried this and the BTB timing is almost the same. Doesn't work if you're too fast. Also the delay is much longer on exiting R mode rather than holding LMB
Thanks, I was looking for this, it's actually stated on TC that using R to BTB is faster. Glad there aren't any donkeys that disagree based on their "trust me bro" sources.

You forgot to normalize by time. Like how long to finish to combo, the animation time, etc. Like, if squeezing in a barb means 1 more second needed to finish the whole rotation, then the increase in DPS is not as high as you'd expect. Plus if that extra one second or two messes up the team rotation, you may not wanna do it. And then, there is a cost of player having to perform the barb, instead of smashing left click. It adds pressure to player and decreases rotation consistency.
I’ve hit a hand full of 60-80k crits with Yelan’s skill. Mine is C0 and using stringless. Team is: Raiden, Bennett, Sucrose, and Yelan. She was s u c h a good pull. Highly recommend team.

Mine can vape 70k too with R1 stringless although i kinda prefer fading twilight bow a bit... if i one day get a r5 stringless that might change... + i have a eldgy of the end lying arroung and noone is using it... but i dont know if i should use that
Yelan is my favorite character in the game right now her kit is just so much fun and she makes using a bow feel great. I wish I got her C1 for her double E so bad.

She's just like Eula. Did you know with Eula, even at C0, you can do a Hold E before her Q Animation so that it would make Q screenshot the Physical Bonus then another E right after to get extra stacks of GrimHeart. Those girls have tricks under their sleeves.

Yelan is best against multiple opponents, her E does a ton of damage against multiple opponents and breakthrough barb against grouped enemies are very powerful too. Overall she has been a great character, good against both mob enemy and single boss.

BTB shot are really amazing plus blazing fast and AOE.. Using her BTB in huge mobs fights feels satisfying and with huge mob her E skills gives 100℅ sure BTB shots.

Great video! But with Yelan's low base attack and HP scaling, her being on field is a DPS loss. Ideally, you'd have to quick swap to someone like Machine Gun Fischl, and then back to Yelan for her E and BTB.
@@sev559 you mean the buff from her burst? that applies to any active character and keeps stacking, so your main DPS can benefit from it too. Overall, the main DPS, like Raiden, would do more damage than Yelan as DPS. Especially if you throw Bennett in there.

I thought Mihoyo was senile for referring to her as a dps until I cleared floor 12 with just her and xinqiu as duos Xinqiu on Normal build and yelan on a main DPS build with Stringless
Kinda weird on the BTB for having to wait outside of combat considering her to be quite a tank to use it, she's cool regardless probably the best elemental skill in the game ever
“Can only be DPS at C6” is always a whale perspective of looking at things and is a meaningless statement to anyone without multiple other C6 dps’es. Personally after having gotten used to using high constellation 5* attackers I wouldn’t be able to accept a low constellation yelan as a main dps, but objectively speaking she is strong enough as a main dps for basically anything in the game. As long as you haven’t been spoiled by having access to ridiculous whale numbers, she can be viable as your main attacker.
my C0 Yelan vapes her skill for 150k and her Burst for 30k. Now through RNGesus blessing me I can use my skill twice. She definitely is main DPS capable. I took her into the abyss as my main DPS and she shredded the bosses.
I actually played like this (the last combo) before watching this video. I guess spending a little bit of time researched on honey impact in 2.6 work out well xD
Wouldnt surprise me if Yelan ends up being like Kazuha. A character a lot of people skip thinking she's just a 5 star upgrade of her 4 star counterpart, but later ends up being meta defining. Probably not to the extent Kazuha is though.
This is my conundrum at the moment. I want yelan, but do I need her when I already have a very well built c6 xingqui. I have kazuha c0 but I'm saving for C2 and his weapon

Just for fun I usef sacrificial bow and a full set of gambler. You get a total of 4 castings of her elemental skill, each one with the chance to get a brakthrough barb. A pity that the gambler is a four star set

Ive done the sac bow stuff. Its a lot of fun to be able to just tie up groups of enemies over and over again in the abyss while doing BTB attacks.

You forgot to normalize by time. Like how long to finish to combo, the animation time, etc.
Like, if squeezing in a barb means 1 more second needed to finish the whole rotation, then the increase in DPS is not as high as you'd expect.
Plus if that extra one second or two messes up the team rotation, you may not wanna do it.
And then, there is a cost of player having to perform the barb, instead of smashing left click. It adds pressure to player and decreases rotation consistency.
I've been doing the Q>E>N unintentionally. I might try to squeeze in a barb or two for increased damage. Thanks for this!
I’ve hit a hand full of 60-80k crits with Yelan’s skill. Mine is C0 and using stringless. Team is: Raiden, Bennett, Sucrose, and Yelan. She was s u c h a good pull. Highly recommend team.

@@schishne7546 the damage he mentioned 99% sure is vaped or enemies are debuffed from VV... Mine can vape 70k too with R1 stringless although i kinda prefer fading twilight bow a bit... if i one day get a r5 stringless that might change... + i have a eldgy of the end lying arroung and noone is using it... but i dont know if i should use that

then another E right after to get extra stacks of GrimHeart.

Yelan is best against multiple opponents, her E does a ton of damage against multiple opponents and breakthrough barb against grouped enemies are very powerful too. Overall she has been a great character, good against both mob enemy and single boss.
Aside from the bracelet, you will see a symbol pop above her head after using her skill that signifies that BTB is available.

I mean she is a 5 stars Xingqiu, 5 stars units are often better than 4 stars obviously, at least most of the time. I love her and glad I pulled her.
BTB shot are really amazing plus blazing fast and AOE.. Using her BTB in huge mobs fights feels satisfying and with huge mob her E skills gives 100℅ sure BTB shots.

Great video! But with Yelan's low base attack and HP scaling, her being on field is a DPS loss. Ideally, you'd have to quick swap to someone like Machine Gun Fischl, and then back to Yelan for her E and BTB.
Not if you're running main dps yelan who benefits from her A4 passive
@@sev559 you mean the buff from her burst? that applies to any active character and keeps stacking, so your main DPS can benefit from it too. Overall, the main DPS, like Raiden, would do more damage than Yelan as DPS. Especially if you throw Bennett in there.

But I think you're severely underestimating her potential as a dps. I thought Mihoyo was senile for referring to her as a dps until I cleared floor 12 with just her and xinqiu as duos

Yelan can only be DPS in C6 they said, now she can do more combo than most of the Unga bunga dps with good dmg output
“Can only be DPS at C6” is always a whale perspective of looking at things and is a meaningless statement to anyone without multiple other C6 dps’es. Personally after having gotten used to using high constellation 5* attackers I wouldn’t be able to accept a low constellation yelan as a main dps, but objectively speaking she is strong enough as a main dps for basically anything in the game. As long as you haven’t been spoiled by having access to ridiculous whale numbers, she can be viable as your main attacker.

my C0 Yelan vapes her skill for 150k and her Burst for 30k. Now through RNGesus blessing me I can use my skill twice. She definitely is main DPS capable. I took her into the abyss as my main DPS and she shredded the bosses.
Good tip, for someone who wanna keep yelan on-field. I personally think she can help her team more by being off-field

Wouldnt surprise me if Yelan ends up being like Kazuha. A character a lot of people skip thinking she's just a 5 star upgrade of her 4 star counterpart, but later ends up being meta defining.
Probably not to the extent Kazuha is though.
This is my conundrum at the moment. I want yelan, but do I need her when I already have a very well built c6 xingqui.
I have kazuha c0 but I'm saving for C2 and his weapon

Just for fun I usef sacrificial bow and a full set of gambler. You get a total of 4 castings of her elemental skill, each one with the chance to get a brakthrough barb. A pity that the gambler is a four star set
