I’m confused at the Notre Dame reference. Why would they be after Knowles with Al Golden on board as their DC?
Al Golden left ND for the Bengals
A couple of times in big games last season they had totally blown coverage. Superduper coaching not withstanding.
Knowles being at the celebration would've been a distraction, everyone knew he was going to a conference rival so there's no way he should've been there. Day got into him after the first Oregon game, Knowles' ego didn't handle it well and he decided during the season that this would be his last year at OSU. Had nothing to do with $, the difference in the $3.1M and $2.75M is covering the buyout.
Also Knowles became incensed when Chip Kelly was given a pass after the horrible play calling in the Michigan game.
@@mickey34jb Was he given a pass? A lot seemed to sure change after that. Maybe Chip just didn't air of it, realized he messed up and handled it like a professional.
