Returned home from Vegas yesterday after staying at Horseshoe for 5 nights. Walking to Metro Pizza at Ellis Island was worth the $3.50 slice of mushroom pizza. Tried Pizza Cake at Harrahs after seeing Donny Osmond, $9 for a buffalo chicken slice which was good. Pin Up Pizza at Miracle Mile shops left me feeling the most violated for a chicken mushroom slice that was burnt for $11. Today we were discussing staying at the Palazzo 4 nights in April for $1400 or at T.I. for $400, we chose T.I. and will use the $1000 to eat and play. Thanks for the preview, nice work!!
The Pirate Ship Battle was one of the coolest things to see on the strip at night. I do miss the 90s or the "Las Disney" era of Vegas. My favorite will always be the Star Trek Experience at the Hilton.
I miss old Vegas so much! Growing up in the 90s was the best so much to do for kids and teenagers. No more Crystal Palace, Scandia, Mountasia, MGM theme park, Scream park, Fright dome
Thanks Dani. I remember watching the pirate show in 1994 with my first real girlfriend when we went to Vegas. It was a happy time while it lasted. She eventually dumped me and broke my heart, so it kind of makes Las Vegas one of the happiest and saddest places all at the same time.
I had lunch at Gilley's and it was really good, large portions. Plus, they have a large dining area directly on the strip with nice views. I think most people think you have to eat in that dark bar area, but the seating on the strip is bright with large windows.
Your right! Now that I think about it, when I walked in to the restaurant I was thinking it was so quiet but if you walked by the front patio it was pretty busy. Good to know!

The original Treasure Island was by far the best themed hotel of the family era. The "Battle of Buccaneer bay" was something to see for sure! And it was free!
Unfortunately when the MGM took over TI the CEO killed the Buccaneer show. The MGM CEO also ripped out much of the great pirate art inside the casino. I would catch the Buccaneer show every night when I was in Vegas.
Loved the pirate show as a kid, the Sirens and newer show after that just didn't suffice.. Wish u mentioned the old big arcade they had and the animatronics by the escalators and the talking skeletons! Can't find any pictures or videos of these but they did exist in the heyday.. thanks for the video Dani!
Yea, Tresure Isaland. This is where I stayed last time I was in Vegas. Over 20 years ago. I have to get there. We're getting ready for the Renaissance festival.
We stay at TI almost exclusively. There are alot of perks like you pointed out. Very easy casino to navigate, pool is real nice. The only thing I would like to see is more food choices. We wind up walking to other resorts to find more food choices. Thanks for the tour!!
Great tour again, Dani. I'd consider staying at Treasure Island next time in Vegas since although it's not my favorite Strip resort, I have a lot of Radisson Rewards points saved up that I could use and the location and property are good enough.

Hey Dani! 🙂 Finally got around to watching this video - it brought back many memories as this is the hotel I stayed at when I visited Vegas from Australia in 2017! It indeed was a great hotel situated perfectly (I did many walks down the strip from it) and I also liked the proximity to the mirage (where I went to see the Beatles ‘love’ cirque du Soleil). It’s such a pity that the mirage is being rebranded (I remember it from Vegas vacation) - and also a pity the pirate show at TI is no longer (I never got to see it 😔). Your videos are very informative and enjoyable to watch - thank you for the effort you put in to them! Wishing you all the best from Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺 (and I will be visiting the USA including Orlando Florida in just a few weeks! Treasure island is always my go to hotel when I go to Vegas. It’s a great budget hotel for me while not being run down or sketchy. I like the location too.

Enjoyed this thx. Stayed there in end of May. A solid value and good location. Excellent staff. Our room faced the heart of the strip on the 24th floor. Memorable! Clean, comfy room. Has bathtubs and fridge. Caught the amazing Cirque ‘Mystere’ show and Gilley’s food. Nice being next door to the Mirage-they have better pool. The tram was convenient. There’s a CVS adjacent, [very convenient], and is near Wynn, Venice, and the mall. Overall, good score for amenity and the price. Would stay there again. Cheers Dani!

Most underrated channel on youtube. I came along from when you vlogd about disney/florida stuff and sure, Las Vegas isnt as appealing as disney/universal in terms of views but still. Feel that it would make more sense with 200k subs. Nothing but the best! Love.
I've stayed there 3 times, great location on the strip, nice clean room, mid-price hotel. The Pirate Ship Show was only there the first time I went. That tram service in your video between T.I. and the Mirage was not working the last time I was there. I really like the hotel, suits me fine, I'd stay there again. For a nice slice of Pizza I like the Secret Pizza place at the Cosmopolitan Hotel (on the third floor, down a long hall with record albums on the wall).
Good walk-through by interesting lady! Affordable hotel-casino with tram connections to others. . A short gaming video would be helpful, indicating table game minimums, the presence or absence of a variety of electronic table games with affordable minimums (since the table games are so expensive nowadays), specialty rooms like poker, keno, bingo, high limit.... Bartops are helpful and other video poker, which those interested can look up on a specialty website, and scanning people’s favorite slots, like Buffalo.
Great video!!! We stayed at the TI right before the pandemic, and it was fine for a budget resort, only thing I don't like was the smell of the smoke all over the property. We like the dining options, and the circa show was wonderful

I must say I’ve always liked the pirate show at Treasure Island as many times as I’ve seen it so it was sad to hear that they stopped the show and I always thought the ship looked awesome so I’m glad they kept the ship now as far as Treasure Island vs the Mirage which one would you recommend to stay at with the most things to do now i remember back in the day when I would go there with my mom we would stay at the El Rancho Casino and my mom loved playing bingo there to bad they got rid of it anyway thanks for a wonderful tour now with that peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Dani and Eddie and I’ll see you on the next awesome Vegas video peace ☮️ out ✌️
I loved both resorts but I think the mirage was my favorite. I love the tropical theme and the Buffett back in the day was awesome. Very different resort now though.
I remember when my husband then got his pocket picked at the Pirate show in the early 90’s. They did find his wallet in a garbage can munis the cash of course and was kind enough to send this wallet to him.
Another great vid. I wouldn't use the wireless charging pads on slot machines. Seen too many examples of people walking by and swiping phones, since you're distracted with playing. Also Marvel's Studio is cool IF you're a fan. Otherwise you walk out saying "I paid 40 bucks for THAT??" LOL They focus on the Civil War era of the movies and that's kinda it. Bravo again.

It's a bummer they didn't keep some of the uniqueness and attractions at the resorts. I understand change and probably cost. But I feel like it brought such a great energy and charm to the resorts and made people come time after time. At least I have the memories.
People have said that the Treasure Island had a great pirate show. I've been there numerous times and noticed a pirate ship but had no clue that it was connected to a show. It would be so cool if they started up the pirate show again for the new generation of Vegas visitors.

What I miss the most about Luxor was the lounge they used to have. There used to be lots of free music acts in Vegas but they seem to be fewer than ever. The back bar at Mandalay Bay used to have a stage right there. They used to have some good music there. Not sure if that’s a thing or not anymore……
I was lucky enough to have seen both versions of the pirate show. The original one was best. And it was the Royal Navy ship that was sunk by the Pirates. Also, Bob Gurr designed the ships and mechanics. They need to either take the hotel back to the original theme or completely retheme it. This in between is awkward.

Haha nah sorry. I took one week of because my mom was in town. The second week I got stopped from filming at a DT hotel and didn't have a backup. 😱

The pirate show was pirates vs British Royal Navy. I think the navy ship was named the Hispanola. It was the ship that sank. The pirates always won.

It's a bummer they didn't keep some of the uniqueness and attractions at the resorts. I understand change and probably cost. But I feel like it brought such a great energy and charm to the resorts and made people come time after time. At least I have the memories.
People have said that the Treasure Island had a great pirate show. I've been there numerous times and noticed a pirate ship but had no clue that it was connected to a show. It would be so cool if they started up the pirate show again for the new generation of Vegas visitors.
It was so good to! Great production. Treasure Island was so lively back in the day.

What I miss the most about Luxor was the lounge they used to have. There used to be lots of free music acts in Vegas but they seem to be fewer than ever. The back bar at Mandalay Bay used to have a stage right there. They used to have some good music there. Not sure if that’s a thing or not anymore……
I was lucky enough to have seen both versions of the pirate show. The original one was best. And it was the Royal Navy ship that was sunk by the Pirates.
Also, Bob Gurr designed the ships and mechanics.
They need to either take the hotel back to the original theme or completely retheme it. This in between is awkward.
I totally forgot bob gurr had a part in the show. How cool that's there's random bob gurr stuff around town.
I got engaged at TI on New Year’s Eve 2009-2010. Sad to see they did away with the pirate show.
