0:38 Blasternaut: Spot, stop revving your jets. I can't hear Galactic Commander. Spot: I'm not revving my jets! Blasternaut: Well, then- HEY! Someone's following us! Galactic Commander: Oh, I can't believe this is happening. Spot: What? Wait, what's happening? Galactic Commander: Dear old Dr. Minus have us in his sights. Dr. Minus: Just playing a friendly little game of subtraction, Commander. One Galactic Forces cruiser down, the whole Galactic Forces base to go! (laughs maniacally) (lasers firing) (explosion) (all screaming)
1:52 Dr. Minus: Sorry about your ship. I’ll send you a few squadrons down to lend you a hand! (Laughs maniacally and flies away) Spot: You won’t get away with this, Dr. Minus! Blasternaut: Well, except that we’re stuck here on this alien planet and the nearest city looks abandoned. Galactic Commander: Abandoned, maybe. But that’s the Lost City, Blasternaut! Blasternaut: Then let’s go! If we hurry and discover the secret powers, maybe they can help us save the Galactic Base!
Well... this is how I spent my weekday afternoons after school in 7th grade back in 1998. I had to go to math tutoring and I would usually lie about having math homework just so that I could play this game. I became somewhat hooked on this game. How dare someone lure a child into being educated with the presentation of a video game?!
1:28 - 1:46 Waited so many years to hear that triumphant and kickass theme song again - of the two Math Blaster games I played as a kid, I liked the theme in the first one, but this one has that extra "UMPH" in it. [Why, in your copy, does it say "MATH Secret of the Lost City" instead of "MATH BLASTER Secret of the Lost City"?]
Weird. I went from math blaster to Halo. There seems to be a connection there. Uncovering a secret. Exploring a planet. Space ships. Green guy. Robot lady basically cortona. lil robot guy is guilty spark
I got this with Math Blaster 9-12 but it won't work on VMware's with Windows 98. Only 9-12 works but secret of the lost city doesn't. Says it needs e2cd32.exe but it's not on the disc. Maybe I need to go buy the older version?
I TOTALLY REMEMBER THIS! THE NOSTALGIA!
Oh wow. I've forgotten about this game. This was one of my favorite games on Windows 95.
Steven Maxwell Tan So was mine. But unfortunately my copy was bugged. The "2nd" level was impossible because the numbers weren't shown in my copy.
Wow! When I was a kid, I had no idea how ridiculous their new ship looked.
I only ever played Episode 1 as a kid. Seeing this for the first time now... wow
Man they REALLY upped the budget on the visuals.
I've been trying to remember this game for so long... Finally found it.
I totally forgot this game existed and I sunk so many hours into it. Thanks for posting this my dude!!!

I like the part at 1:18 where they all scream!
12:39 When I had the game I was never able to see this.
Cute and interesting at the same time. Blasternaut sounds like Fozzie 🐻 .

Look at the beginning of the video and you'll see why.

That yellow level was bugged. I remember that my version never had numbers in so I never bet this game...
this game was dope
Imagine if this was a Sega CD 32X game
Is the woman one of Futurama Leela's ancestors? Cool. This game was fun but I was horrid at it. I never got past this level.
How has nobody talked about how the title card completely forgot to add “Blaster”?
If you want to know the reason why it's because of the beginning of the video.
So many feels...
This is a fucking trip

Good video

And what exactly is the secret of the lost city? It’s is… a giant spaceship. And… that’s pretty much it but good game.
Anybody can help playing this game today on windows 10/11?
Wait so this is one of the first memorable video games, where the general is a female.
