Arsenal kicked off the window and spent much of it negotiating and paying a decent sum of money for a left back, a position where they probably struggle least for depth with Tierney, Tomiyasu, Zinchenko, Timber and Kiwior at their disposal. Merino could be a good purchase but remains to be seen, but being honest- another central midfielder particularly one that operates on the left hand side was a requirement. However both positions do not take precedence over the forward area. Sterling was an okay panic/opportune transaction but it fell on our lap…the lack of planning and preparation stinks. Neto the GK is okay for a loan deal. The Nketiah sale was positive due to holding out for a value closer to his worth, ESR sale was decent money but he deserved more opportunity in the past 2 seasons, the Ramsdale sale was poor money, we took a loss on a former PFA keeper of the season and the rest of the outgoings were loans. 5/10 is a very fair rating. The squad isn’t ready for a season where more games will be played and still no striker and only slightly stronger than last season.
5 out of 10? I wonder what the rating would’ve been without the sales, and Arsenal strengthening the squad in all the other 3 areas (defence, midfield & attack) that they needed 🤷🏿♂️
Just realised the maths ain’t mathing…he said Arsenal needed a striker and a winger to make it a 10. Arsenal only got the winger, so by his logic that makes it a 5 window!?!? 🤔🤔😂😂…surely that makes it more a 7 or something
