Y’all do such a great job teaching us about how to actually grow plants! I’m in a different zone here in NC but love growing ferns throughout my garden.
Thanks so very much for explaining how to care for my ferns. I inherited ferns from previous home owner, but the drought we're having has hit them hard. So now i know what to do.
Ferns are my favorite! They always look good, they ask for nothing, and nothing eats them. Royal fern, Japanese painted, autumn, Christmas, sensitive and holly ferns are in my garden. I need to add some of the other ones you feature here-they’re gorgeous!
Thank you for a very comprehensive review of the ferns. I don’t believe I have heard anyone provide such an in-depth review of all the features of these ferns. Thank you also for the tip about planting the ferns around spring, flowering bulbs! What a great idea. 🥰🌸🇨🇦
Noelle. I was thinking of adding ferns to my hosta garden but they are growing so large already I better think of another location. Thanks for your extensive and informative video on ferns that has been very helpful! Have a nice weekend!
I've been replacing my hosta with ferns because of all the deer damage to the hosta. They've been great, but my approach has been pretty willy-nillly. Thanks for the overview! I've got a much better idea of the the types of ferns to be looking for in the different areas of our landscape.
You didn't show the fern I'm most curious about -- Macho Ferns. Big box store was selling them this year and I purchased two, and they don't disappoint, huge growth habit with large leaves. I have no idea how they will overwinter outdoors, or if they're woody or evergreen.
Macho Ferns are gorgeous outdoor in the summer, but they aren’t cold hardy here in Northeast Ohio. We consider them a tropical or houseplant because they need to be wintered over indoors!
@@PetittiGardenCenters Thank you!! I'm in Zone 6b so I will definitely dig them up and overwinter them indoors. I think the Ostrich ferns and Lady ferns are perennial outdoors in the ground. 🤞

Noelle and Taylor, you do a phenomenal job with all of your videos, thank you! This year the bunnies love my painted ferns as much as I do!! 🐰😠

Was just talking about ferns -- how timely! Thank you for these videos, they are so helpful!

Thank you so much Noelle!! Answered my questions.
‘Brilliance’ does not have that chartreuse foliage here in New York. They have the bronze fronds and the other fronds are an olive green.
Thank you. Very interesting and informative.
Winter care for them in Cleveland? Do you have to cut the foliage back spring for new growth ?

Love ferns! I wish i could get a hold of some of the ferns you had. Here in Oregon zone 8b I've not been able to find any new varieties.

My lady in red & autumn brilliance ferns take lots of sun in my zone 7. And my sword fern always flop due to its big size.
