Revisiting this after Reload! Reload has proved it's not just nostalgia. Old-school gunplay a few wacky items and those "Fortnite" graphics are what people love and it's awesome!
100% I don't even like Reload in many ways, and to me it doesn't even feel like the OG map at all, but the gun pool is enough that I actually started playing a decent bit when it came out

@@wolfless21 I've been playing since season 2 chapter 1 and I'm still pretty bad at building and my short distance aim is still pretty trash so you can't really blame it on the pass it's more so just trying to win in general because the battle royale is a competitive type-a-game you just have to be the best in the lobby to win

I pretty much just started to build so going against sweat if they can build is just a bad idea for me. I agree Fortnite is now more competitive. My first 10 games in like a year or 2, I died and got emoted on and teabagged so many times that I thought I was playing COD. I understand Fortnite is competitive now but I wish players would at least relax. I just got 11 kills without trying super hard and just chilling and having fun. 12 my second or 3rd game back. No, the game DOES feel the same as 2018 for me & all of my friends. Everyone at my school is talking about Fortnite again, I wake up every day excited about Fortnite, and have so much fun playing it, no matter the “sweats”. It does feel the same as 2018.

True, the reason I had fun at the time was because it was new to me. That moment when I got my first dub was something I remembered forever, and it will never hit the same. I'm sure if the current map were to be swapped by the original map by some God, we would miss the current one so much. But now that I know how everything works, it's never going to be as fun of an experience as it is originally going to be.
Same thing with Minecraft, when PewDiePie revived it in mid 2019 for nostalgia, it grew large, but not as large as it was back in 2013, showed by Google Trends. It can be better, but it can truly never hit as hard as it originally has, same goes for Fortnite, which is the sad truth.
This goes for everything in life not just a game. What makes it special is the beginning and how new something is.

Everything can go back to how it was, but what keeps it from being truly og is out ages now and the experience we do have with the game, but it was fun back then either way, learning and being a noob to getting better than we were or even becoming pro players for those who made it into fncs and higher up in the leaderboards

It's been so fun to go back and see all the places we haven't been able to see for years. I drop in just to sightsee or camp at the soccer field and just remember the good old days.
I didn’t play Fortnite during chapter 1 so I started around chapter 2 and I can confidently say that the og season is the best season I have ever played. Even if it’s not the same as chapter 1 the og map and weapons are just amazing

The best part about fortnite was how simple it was. And thay showed for the og season
