I only started playing in the middle of OG season and I'm really glad I did because that's just what Fortnite is to me. The map, those graphics, vehicles and weapons. I only realised after a week it was a temporary event. Now it's back to a regular run-of the mill realistic shooter which honestly couldn't interest me less. People who say "it's just nostalgia" are missing something big and have become accustomed to Epic continuously changing things about the game for no good reason.

Sadly no, the reason I had fun at the time was because it was new to me. That moment when I got my first dub was something I remembered forever, and it will never hit the same. The time I was talking to my friends I finally achieved my goal of a dub, battle pass level, was just fun, and that's gone forever. I'm sure if the current map were to be swapped by the original map by some God, we would miss the current one so much. But now that I know how everything works, it's never going to be as fun of an experience as it is originally going to be. Same thing with Minecraft, when PewDiePie revived it in mid 2019 for nostalgia, it grew large, but not as large as it was back in 2013, showed by Google Trends. It can be better, but it can truly never hit as hard as it originally has, same goes for Fortnite, which is the sad truth.

I remember when sypher would get upset when anybody got critical about the game or pointed out legit problems with it. It wont be, you can only enjoy the time your in. When games get popular, they become more about business, then perfecting the game.
Everything can go back to how it was, but what keeps it from being truly og is out ages now and the experience we do have with the game, but it was fun back then either way, learning and being a noob to getting better than we were or even becoming pro players for those who made it into fncs and higher up in the leaderboards
