Amazing !!!!! great work puting this app together... We cant way to try it. this videos has been a year. would screen sharing works in a different room now?
@hovhannesjulfayan5424 this is "just" a normal MagSafe tripod called the SnapPod from ShiftCam. But I'm sure there are very cool charging ones on the market. We tested some stuff from QuadLock, very solid and they have wireless charging heads also.
Thank you for sharing this. My question is what function are you using to read the script from your iPhone while you're recording video? I appreciate your answer
Really cool. I have tried with my MacBook Air M1 and iPhone 14Pro just with internal microphones (but I have a rode usb and a boya shotgun to eventually use) and I could only select one main microphone not two . I knew it wasn’t right as I followed all of your videos, but truly I looked everywhere and could not find the two mics at one time but could only select one from a drop down menu ? Thanks
Hey! For now it's only possible to connect 2 devices together. However, if one of those devices is a remote guest you can send them a link to connect. You can also show any image behind both of you (if it's a presentation slide), by using one of the Podcast presets that green screens both people.
Here's how to connect two iPhones, in the same room or remote: 1. Download the app on both iPhones. 2. Start a new project on both. 3. If you're in the same room, tap the 👤+ icon in the top right on both. The devices should connect automatically. If you're not in the same room you can send the invite link to the other person.
Currently it's only possible to connect two iPhones. We do have a macOS app called Detail Studio where you can connect multiple cameras (including iPhones).
Hey, there's an easier way to show pictures of what you're talking about. If you update the app to the latest version, you can add an image over your recording. After you've recorded, tap Image in the bottom menu and choose it from your photos. iOS screen sharing is in the works - the ability to connect two devices and scree nshare from the other one, but in the meantime, you can also connect and mirror your laptop.
If you’re recording with 2 iPhones, for 2 people and you use the rode go 2 or even Boya 2 wireless mics with 1 receiver, how would that work? In terms of auto-edit afterwards.
Hey Romero, are you connecting the phones by sending a link to the other phone or simply tapping connect on both devices? Just need to know if this is an issue with "local" or "remote"
@@DetailVideo to date, I haven’t been able to record with 2 phones and a wired usb mic connected to each iPhone in the same room or even in close by rooms as the feedback/echo is crazy loud. I have shared the link each time, as for some reason it doesn’t auto connect (iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 Pro). So when my guest got here I quickly switched to one phone, dual camera and the Boya dual Lavier mic. Which worked but now I’ll just need to edit it manually.
@@DetailVideo CORRECTION: the above is still true regarding echo. However the auto connect does work perfectly and quickly, I was using it wrong. The echo/feedback is completely gone when auto-connecting. Which is amazing. So as long as you auto connect it works seamlessly.

Great question, I recorded a short video in response: share.detail.co/f4a3853828884063835c9daf8bef3e44 The Boya 2 doesn't support stereo output and always mixes both microphones into one audio track. This means you can't auto edit if you use 2 wireless mics with one receive. Instead, you could use 2 single Boya wireless mics (one for each iPhone). This still makes for a nice affordable option and flexible setup. The Rode Wireless Go II and DJI Mic support stereo. You can set them up to record one microphone on the left channel and one microphone on the right channel. And in the Advanced tab in Detail Auto Edit, you can assign channel 1 (left) to a speaker and channel 2 (right) to the other speaker.
For someone who has no production crew this is PERFECT as I take my podcast from just audio to video in 2025! This is AMAZING....
This is exactly the video I’ve been looking for! Thanks for sharing
🎉I found the video I needed, straight to the point and easy to understand thank you for this video.
Thanks so much for the positive comment! We're so glad this helped.

Yep

Is it possible to use more than 2 iphones as cameras and an ipad for the controller? As well as bring in remote guests and show presentations?

Can I use my second iPhone to display pictures of what I’m
Talking about instead of two angles of myself?

Hello, can we attach GoPro 12 camera or any third camera with Detail iphone app ?
Unfortunately the iPhone doesn't support that.

Hey there, microphones can be connected to your smartphone with an adapter - either USB to lightening or USB-C. Detail is not available on Android yet
