I love this video. I have been saying what you said about the DBQ‘s and Claim Shark‘s for quite a long time. I am so happy to hear you say this. Other channels I follow are dancing around this subject like the veteran is getting screwed. A DBQ is not required to file your claim. There is no reason to pay a Claim Shark to fill out a DBQ for you. Your medical evidence is all you need that rates the DBQ itself. I have never submitted a DBQ with my claims and every claim was approved because of my medical evidence. I hate seeing people taking advantage of by theseclaim assistance, companies, charging outrageous fees for something the veteran doesn’t need to submit his claim. I do hope the lawsuits that many of them are facing and one, namely from the Texas Attorney General shut these people down from their predatory practices.
Hi Stephanie! It seems they are continually making the process even more complicated than it should be. Keeping things simple and not jumping over our knees and reacting to every little thing they cook up somewhere is probably the best thing we can do for ourselves. My therapist keeps telling me to “respond” instead of reacting…. sometimes that actually works. Wow! This DBQ stuff is sure stirring up a firestorm with veterans and on You Tube! Thanks so much for your input! 🇺🇸
I think they are trying to improve a lot and make sure veterans aren’t being taken advantage of. The few guys that have put this out have the opposite feelings I have because this is hurting their pockets.
@ Hmmm! 🤔 that’s probably true and sure makes sense….so often we are on the outside looking in, but you guys help us to at least get some semblance of clarity over what the heck is going on. Thanks! 🕊️🌎🕊️
Exactly, many of these channels are going to lose out since they cannot continue to take advantage of veterans with terrible info that only benefits them since the claims take longer. Thanks for putting that out!
20 years ago I was in coma for 4 days with a full brain injury and have attempted to go back to cnp (for reasons I have been fighting after honorable discharge) just for them to tell me that it is medically imposable for me to have an issue now. My VA doctor was so pissed after I told him, I do believe that these so called doctors do not have a clue to the veterans status and are seeing as many as possible to make some easy cash. I was even seen by a chiropractor for a cnp for said brain injury in an office that was up for rent. There was nothing in the office, the last question she asked was if I had any questions? I said yes "why was I being seen in a chiropractor office for a brain injury? She responded with Ok have a nice day and was done with me. I would personally would love to have someone at the VA look over my records and talk to my current doctor to make the judgment
Thank you for putting out this video while I do agree that there are some shenanigans about what you were saying I believe that the shenanigans played by the vet administration as evidenced by its past actions or non-actions in regards to Vietnam veterans and service connection and how long it took for Agent Orange, etc. I believe that there is no justification to prevent actual doctors who are clinically qualified to be prevented from helping veterans when the system is so backlogged and is taking a long time.
Thank you for replying. I agree the VA takes a long time for all presumptive areas to be recognized. As far as AO exposure. It’s presumptive. There is no need for a doctor to diagnosis a Veteran that has a current chronic disability due to AO exposure because the VA concedes the diagnosis due to the presumptive areas the Veteran served.
I get completely where you are coming from. The only issue I have with this is often the VA does not send all the evidence to the C and P examiner. How are we to know if the C and P examiner gets all the evidence? I don’t have an issue with the VA doing this if they can correctly do their job.
Your entire evidence records are not always needed for the exam. You have to keep in mind, the exam is just one piece of the puzzle. What I always tell Veterans is to prepare for the exam by reviewing the 38CFR for that disability and what the breakdown is for each %. If the DBQ is available, then review it. Bring any/all evidence you want to take with you and see if the examiner will discuss it with you. Don't be to pushy about it but talk to the examiner and see if you can discuss it. When I did my exams, I did this and I brought "key" documents with me. I did have a few bad exams but after those exams, I always sent a f/u to the rater by providing my own personal statement of what took place at the exam. You are your own best advocate. The VA is NOT out to get you like all these "click bait" YT channels make them out to be the bad guy.
@@altonza your OWN doctor diagnosing you with your chronic disability. Many Veterans do not realize all they need is their doctor to put notes in their medical records. Somebody needs to riddle me Why won’t VA doctors fill out DBQ’s? If they want this policy the VA needs to instruct the doctors to fill these out for the Veterans. If you aren’t seen by the VA and have your own private doctor they ABSOLUTELY should be filling out your DBQ. Not all veterans get treated from the VA and there are many reasons why. You don’t have to get treatment from the VA and you certainly shouldn’t be forced to do so simply to get a DBQ filled out that they won’t fill out anyway due to get this one, conflict of interest, that should tell you all you need to know.
I’ll answer this riddle… YOU DO NOT NEED A DBQ FILLED OUT. I have preached for years to include my 3-Part Video on Nexus/IMO. Your doctor doesn’t need to fill anything out. While it’s great to get it most are not filled out correctly and while they are expected as evidence all it will do is have the VBA develop for their own medical opinion. ALL YOU NEED is your doctor to put in your medical records their opinion about your current diagnosis and what is the causation or aggravation. Talk with your doctor and ask about your disability and its diagnosis. Have a conversation with your doctor. Too many Veterans get DUPED into paying 💸💸💸💸💸 that like this is flies away because of the CRAP DBQ’s and Nexus’ filled out incorrectly or they are cut and copy and paste.
I have seen this personally and in the next week he quit his job and was laughing all the way. I have struggled to get what I have and as I get older my conditions are getting worst.

So what is your solution if the VHA staff doesn’t complete your DBQ’s or write a nexus statement on the veterans behalf ⏳
