yeah if used correctly lol agreed, that writer caused a heavy atmosphere with nothing beneficial, really turdsed it up. I don't see people going "yeah I'm glad he made that point", the writer was SOFT as well as BRITTLE.
Look up the Monty Python sketch, "The Silliest Sketch We've Ever Done". Breaking the fourth wall and just stopping the sketch was actually part of the sketch, just like here.
There was a Christmas skit where they were forced to break character, because the animal took a crap in the middle of a sketch. i wanted to know how it was suppose to really go xD
Funnily enough, Debra Wilson was also in the middle there and also given commentary about Phil/Nicole expected better from her. Though in that one they played fictional versions of themselves from the beginning while Phil only kayfabe breaks character near the end.
Oh. I get how it’s funny. Phil is confused about the way his boss said “handle his nuts” he thinks he’s referring to his privates. But the boss is actually referring to the nut division for his chocolate candy factory.
He portrayed Danielle in Lowered expectations too. I can't find that Batman V sketch. He was Joel Schumacher in that. Don't know the actors name though.
"This and many other sketches" The writer is completely trying to sabotage MADtv. You see sabotage quite regularly from the less talented writers on this show.
@mjp9mm I think it's pretty obvious that Phil's actually breaking character. You could see the split moment of awkward silence when he stormed out of the set. Could it be that this was the reason why he left MadTV? Nevertheless, Debra and the other actor handled the problem brilliantly... Wow!
4th wall breaking can be funny if used correctly.

See the Vacome Lady sketches.
Some say its not part of the script
Too bad it wasn't used correctly...
Ugh, not in this case!
Phil Lamarr's face is priceless when his boss first mentioned his "nuts"
Erika W I CRIED he was like " Errrrrrrrk" 🤣🤣🤣
*"nus"*
This has to be one of the funniest sketch MAD TV's done.
they really beat this one to death, they just kept stroking and stroking it, but it never really climaxed?
*insert rim shot here* lol Ha
@@catsnowship1618 what's a rim shot?
@@tonypad7322 it's a drum beat , look up jokes with a rim shot
One of my favorite skits!
His Spanish accent is really good! He sounds like my Dominican brother 😂
The most genious sketch ever.
One of the funniest sketches ever! (hands hard on the table) "I need someone to handle my nuts!"
YES! i've been looking forever for this skit. thank you!! ^_^
Look up the Monty Python sketch, "The Silliest Sketch We've Ever Done". Breaking the fourth wall and just stopping the sketch was actually part of the sketch, just like here.
the spanish accent was sooooo real
Remember folks, research before the interview
Research handling, coating and eating nuts? Nuts!!
He didn't actually break character. Why would he then go to the window in view of the camera and argue with her? This was clearly planned.
The fact that the idea of him breaking character even crossed your mind 🤣
The thumbnail looked like Phil Lamarr was hosting an episode of “The Twilight Zone” 😂😂😂😂
dezz nuts
OMG I was looking for this for years. I thought I was the only one that remembers this. Handle my nuts! And Phil Lamar quits halfway through
So it was real and nut part of the skit.
He quit MadTV after this?!?
We need answers
There was a Christmas skit where they were forced to break character, because the animal took a crap in the middle of a sketch. i wanted to know how it was suppose to really go xD
i remember seeing that lol
"Maury & Connie's All Star Christmas Spectacular"
It's accent makes it funnier
i like the twist of this sketch
Twisting nuts!? You're cruel.
I guess there was 1 person that was allergic to nuts.
Way more funny than disgusting.
You knew with nuts this was going to get down and nasty. I wonder how they kept straight face.
I'll handle your nuts sir! Lol :-)
Sure u wud. 2 hunis thou.
They did a similar one with where Will sasso meets nicole Sullivan
Funnily enough, Debra Wilson was also in the middle there and also given commentary about Phil/Nicole expected better from her. Though in that one they played fictional versions of themselves from the beginning while Phil only kayfabe breaks character near the end.
This is Gold. 🤣🇯🇲🇬🇧
he broke the 4th ball... I mean wall
@JamaicanRain There's no mystery here. It was scripted exactly like that. Plus, why would he answer a tweet about a 10 year old sketch?
One of my favorites. Anyone remember which episode this was from?
NUT gonna do it!
You got Vamp from MGS2 and Grace from Wolfenstein 2 in this scene
Nuts.
Oh.....well, then no comment lol
I admire your confidence
Hhhhhhhh i swear all mad tv scripts are funny as fuck
Oh. I get how it’s funny. Phil is confused about the way his boss said “handle his nuts” he thinks he’s referring to his privates. But the boss is actually referring to the nut division for his chocolate candy factory.
Before Phil broke character I, myself, was questioning whether that brand of comedy was worthy of MadTV. They did not disappoint after all. Of course.
If only this would happen with Marge Simpson before she quits the show!!
Nut jokes all over
great fake accent! didn't recognize him for a sec
He portrayed Danielle in Lowered expectations too. I can't find that Batman V sketch. He was Joel Schumacher in that. Don't know the actors name though.
Some times i like to chocolate coat my nuts
Lmao i died on that one XD
Mr. Frond from Bob's burgers
I get what they were trying to do, but in the end it feels like he really did just ruin what could have been a pretty good skit for no real laughs.😢
Agreed
_"nobody(s)"_ =]
Lmfao
Are you serious?
"This and many other sketches" The writer is completely trying to sabotage MADtv. You see sabotage quite regularly from the less talented writers on this show.
I hope this is part of Phil's act because breaking character means bad show business.
mjp9mm doesn't need anyone's concern
I'm sure it was planned.
@@mad-k6q that many are shows it does.
This skit was killer funny and Phil almost ruined it!!! Ugh!!
@@mad-k6q so why no concern you seem concerned now
🤣
Sjw's in a nutshell
really no1 kicked his nuts in the end? Mad tv why didnt you hire me as a writer.

Was this a sly on SNL???
Can someone explain this to a person that has ADD and ADHD?
