The trick with 4th Gitz still seems to be about mad scientist layering of various buffs from multiple sources; palooza, snufflers, bosses (unfortunately the regiment system doesn’t help us) and faction stuff, kinda. Stuff will find ways. Rowza + squig herd for example is getting good reports as a combo. No question though that rockguts are the meta hitters atm.
Feel like you missed a bit on gitz here, Squig herd are legitimately kind of cracked, at 100 points for 12 you can reinforce them and have like 80 attacks at 4/3/-1/1 crit mortals that can run and charge and do splash mortals back for a whopping 430 points with heroes (one of which just gets to come along in a regiment) and then add in more herd if youd like
@@eltronjohn yeah i vaguely mentioned him, but i guess its worth explicitly mentioning him being 130 points, being able to be taken as a little sub guy in a lot of heroes regiments and deepstriking to give any monster or beast run and charge
@@Midgar88 just a neat little package that you can slot in to kill things way more expensive than the 200 points the squigs cost and then do some meaningful damage to anything that comes in for a counter hit
His complaints all seem to be general fourth edition war scroll /ability complaints, the D3 shite roll, scrolls becoming less interesting, having abilities all randomly be able to fail, etc. The army itself looks fine.
hard disagree. even if those are common across the board I'm BY FAR the least excited to play GSG over my other armies, which is a real shame because they're my favorite faction and got me into the game
What really kills me about the index is how everything is more keyword locked than it used to be. Layering all those moonclan buffs to try to make spiders work, or doomstacking trugg was really fun. Also the internal balance is awful. Would've been nice to throw spiders a bone before axing them

Troggboss seems really mid, but he's tough as nails with the healing + moon and is a fantastic recipient for the wizard trait and -1 to hit artefact.

Taking that many and having beast is a massive downer. Wont argue the damage on a full swing would be great. The 4 up hit is a little worrying though
