Navigating the world of pigments can be pretty tricky, right? I know when I first started, it was a bit overwhelming trying to understand the differences between organic, inorganic, and hybrid pigments. That’s exactly why I’m excited to share this comprehensive breakdown with you.
    Organic Pigments: Vibrant but Sensitive
First up, let’s talk about organic pigments. Despite the name, they’re not exactly from your local farm. These are carbon-based compounds made in labs, and boy, are they tiny! This small size makes them stick around in the skin for ages. If you’re looking to give your clients eyebrows that pop with color and last a long time, organic might be your go-to.

But there’s a catch-these pigments tend to fade under sunlight and might shift to a cooler tone after a year. You know that beautiful brown? It might just start showing hints of blues and greys because the red and yellow pigments vanish faster. So, keep that in mind, especially if your client loves spending time outdoors.
    Inorganic Pigments: Steady and Subtle
In comparison, inorganic pigments are like the steady friends we all need. These are typically iron-based, meaning they’re heavier and don’t stick around as long as their organic counterparts, but they’re super resilient to sunlight. They’re perfect if you’re just starting out or if your client wants a more understated look. They fade into a warmer shade, leaving behind a gentle, natural appearance.

The Best of Both Worlds: Hybrid Pigments
And then there’s the hybrids. As you might guess, these pigments are a mix of organic and inorganic qualities, trying to capture the perks of both. They can be a bit of a chameleon. Depending on their composition, they might stay longer or fade quicker. Picking the right hybrid depends on what you’re aiming for and, of course, your client’s skin type and lifestyle.
    Wrapping Up
So there you have it-a little pigment 101 for us permanent makeup wizards. Remember, the more you know about what goes into your tools, the better your art will be. And hey, don’t hesitate to experiment a bit.
Sometimes, the best learning comes from just diving in and seeing what these pigments can really do on skin. If you still have questions or need a bit more clarity on how to choose the best pigments for your clients, just drop a comment below the video. 💬✨

Omg I'm so tired of hearing that inorganics take longer to implant! I finish most of my procedures in 30-60 min with inorganic. I say thats on par with organic and hybrid
