Hiking CALIFORNIA : Jenks Lake Trail | San Bernardino National Forest (Snow Hike) | 4K

11-9-2022 : One of my favorite snow hikes at Jenks Lake Trail in Angelus Oaks near Big Bear Lake, California. The last 2-3 days of rain was the perfect opportunity to head to the mountains to hike in the snow. Overall, a fun and easy hike in the low 30°F.
Total ~3.1 miles; ~1.5 hours to complete.

One of my favorite during the winter. Yep, with the recent rains, a lot of different places are starting to look green with flowers and full of water!

@@HikingWithED A few years ago my wife rented snowshoes and we used them on the road to the parking lot, and around the lake during winter.
A group of us have worked on increasing the flow of water to the lake. It’s looking good. Up several feet.
