Love this one too! It was actually the game that got me into the hobby, as well. I saw it on Wil Wheaton's Tabletop show and it was just cheap enough to fit my budget at the time. We got it and really liked it and now my game collection has grown over the past few years. I usually try this, Splendor or Sheriff of Nottingham to break the ice with new players.
My son loves this one and when he goes to pick a game to play this is one that he picks often.

Picked up this one, Jaipur, and codenames duet as our intro package to gaming. I really like the strategy and tension of this one a lot! Yet not so in depth to turn my wife or I off of playing it. Thank you so much for these reviews, my go to place as we think about adding to our library

Easily the best middle-of-the-road game that can keep both hardcore gamers and informal gamers engaged and entertained. It also as the best depth-to-complexity ratio I've ever seen in a board game. One of my all-time favorites.
simply put, on the top 100 games of all time based just on the in game excitement and its nearly all-age accessibility. I have a lot of heavier/"better" games in my collection, but some are only played once a year. This is always played 10 times a year.

It’s also worth noting that if y’all get the treasure before both of the treasure tiles sink but then after you have got it they both sink, you don’t lose the game.
That is true!
I *really* wish that the art for Fool's Landing wasn't drawn from a bird's eye view. It feels out of place with the rest of the beautiful first person view art.
