I have a 2018 wrangler with 50k mostly driven on dirt roads. Change the oil & air filter is all I have needed to do. Thing seems bulletproof.
They're tough as nails, but expensive to repair. My 89 is cheap because I can do it myself. My wife's 13 is costing us between 5 and 6 thousand for gaskets, oil cooler, abs module, valves, and cam shaft.

They’re under Fiat and that explains everything. 🤣
They were great when Willy"s made them,not too bad under AMC,total junk now under Chysler.
