Can you please do a tutorial for every cover you make. Your really good and there are certain Billy Joel songs that I want to learn like if I only had the words to tell you and the root beer rag. As well as Elton john tutorials such as goodbye yellow brick road.

Steve, how do you memorize all those chords? I've been playing in bands for 30 years and still need to use cheat sheets many times (especially for new songs I've learned). Is there a trick to this that you could possibly share with us?
It’s called passion, and being onstage by yourself without anyone else to cover for you, no cheat sheets, cues etc. rehearsals until you can perform in your sleep without thinking, watch his face..
@@shirleyjohnson7147 I have an enormous amount of passion for my craft. Steve seems to have an excellent recall ability that is quite an asset in this business.
ppsayl123 , when i played in bands in my earlier years, I would learn all the songs in one key and transpose them when we performed. It was my way to cheat learning different keys.
All passion is not the same. You don’t know what you don’t know. Do you sing and play onstage all by yourself?? Oh you play in bands. You have never ventured into this uncharted place for yourself. That is the answer to your question you asked of Steve....
Hey! Thanks for the kind words. The answer is...I don't know LOL! I'm like that with movies, television shows, and stand up comedy bits too.....so I have sort of a natural proclivity for remembering AUDIO things like words, chords, voice inflections, etc. Ironically, I have a. terrible VISUAL memory....I have to drive somewhere like 100 times before I can find my way by landmarks and familiarity (Thank God I live in the age of GPS!!! LOL). So....I certainly have worked the muscle a lot over the years and developed it, and the many years I've played by myself without a group has definitely forced me to sharpen it.....but it's just something that comes more naturally to me....and thank goodness, because the list of things that DON'T come naturally to me is too long to recite! LOL :-)

Man, after you´ve stopped giving tutorials about songs, you´ve lost your appeal. Do not want to see song covers but wonderful tutorials as you used to do. Pls reconsider and get back to the road again
