@@staceycoils8468 not to jibe away what’s to come on the next video but I’m Hoping next weekend i can get one or the wee after as we have 2 trips west planned 🎣🎣
Hi mate thank you for the comment and the support when ever I have fished there I have only ever seen rays and that weighed by there mouths the rays swam of perfectly fine as got released down by the steps 😊 I have been told night times the best time for it like and wil be liking to do it some point this year let the weather warm up fist 😊🎣🎣
@allseasonseafishing ok mate. We are going over on the 23rd for thr evening with high tide been 11pm. My mate was there on Friday n had 5 rays upto 6lb.
You lads are fishing in the perfect place for Raymondos/Dogs/Huss and Hounds later in the year. All you need on their in regards to rigs mate is a standard or long very simple pully rig. If your going to fish with 2 hook clipdown or 2 hook flappers your just going to get plagued with small whitey's all day long mate which is a long long way to go to get some tiny little Whitey's lolol. Ive always found that the best baits over there is bluey & squid and on occasion, squid on its own can be deadly under the right circumstances. If you ever get a small whitey and the hook is down its arse and it can't be returned. Tie it onto a 8/0 hook and drop it straight down the side and try for Conger. You never know your luck. Great video. Tight Lines....
We went there mate it’s a future video the walk there was fine the climb down scared the ass of me because I’m Scared of heights… made it down but winds were wild 36-38 mph NE wind hitting us in the face made the day difficult and hard to fish 😂😂 a learning curve tho … we think we have found a better way down we’ll see in the summer months …. Stranraer next trip to Scotland 🎣🎣
@@allseasonseafishing if your heading stranraer direction . Go to cairnryan . Every chance of huss or conger .. summer time is good for mackerel and good chance of tope ... i fish cairnryan quite often also portwilliam or portlogan .. i only live 50 mile from stranraer in kirkcudbright ..

Well done on the rays. Unlucky on your blank for the ray. 1 bit of advice is weigh the rays in a bag n not by there mouth. Darkness is goid on there.

A dropnet is a must for whitehaven for the rays. Wouldn't fish anything other than a pulley rig also.
Its not a must u can put them back at steps
Caught a fish off Whitehaven pier had a syringe in its belly....... turned out it was a drug haddock
😂😂
Get your self a drop net Darren m8
