  • Day 5 of our Scotland and North Coast 500 motorcycle tour. We left the Isle of Skye the day after Jamie's crash and continued on with the tour and headed up the fantastic biking road that is the A87 took in the sights of Eilean Donan, had a look for Nessie in Loch Ness and headed off for the equally fantastic A82 through Glen Coe. The scenery there is absolutely epic!! Linking the A87 and A82 must make one of the best all round biking routes anywhere!

After an all day slog up the M6 from the south coast, and approaching Glen Coe from the south, it`s like Scotland spreading it`s arms and saying `Here I am guys`.

When I'm riding NC500 it always rains\ overcast, sun came out when I drove it- just for once I want sun on me NC500 ride. Still, even in rain it's an amazing tour.

I think I’ve been lucky on the 3 “laps” I’ve done so far - generally the weather has been great only a couple of wet days. Always looks more dramatic though when the low cloud is hanging over the mountains. Mean and moody but beautiful!

Love the photo clips throughout this video. Very much enjoyed the scenery, especially whilst watching it stuck in an office!

Thank you, he's doing well! There's an interactive map on www.northcoast500.com/. I'm sure there'll be a GPX file on some website somewhere but it's a very straightforward route. It's well signposted and for most of it there's only one road anyway.

They like to say no drones over the castle, but we parked over the water a little and I put the drone up from there. Lovely place to see, especially from the air!
Glencoe is spectacular, especially when you've got the cloud as it was for you. I cycled up through there and a RAF fighter jet came through the valley on a training run. He was that low you'd think you could just put ya hand up and touch him as he went over.
I see Jimmy Savilles place on the left has been vandalised again, they just need to pull it down. It does have historic value as well though with one of the mountaineer rescue team founders I think.
