Don't take that title wrong, I LOVED my first 200 hours in the game. Exploring, 100%-ing the game, hitting Chaos 20 etc... but the endgame, lack of solid dedicated drop farming to craft builds and the weak "PLC" content just left me wanting more... THIS MOD IS THAT MORE THAT I WANTED.
I agree, I absolutely LOVED the game, but it just felt lacking when it comes to endgame, repetitive... using the same gear with different labels, wish we had stuff more like Borderlands 1

The skill colors are just to show which tier something's in to make them easier to recognize. If you're unfamiliar with the skill icons and get a piece of gear with a red icon, you are quickly drawn to the top row of skills to find it. Purely a UI/intuitiveness thing.
Tbf, I imagine there's been lots of change in the DNA of the studio overtime, just like with the cod studios. The treyarch of today isn't the one from 2011/12, also, people change...a lot. You can't expect them to consistently deliver for 15 straight years when there's so many factors to consider in the creation of games.

I know there is no chance of this happening, but I wish that 2K would hire these modders and just make this mod a new update to the standard Wonderlands! I think everyone would love that!
I have just a couple of hours in TTWL Redux. It's breathed some new life into a game that I haven't touched in months. I really hope GB will learn from this. This mod delivers a lot of QoL improvements to the game. I can only dream of what those folks could do with this mod had GB actually delivered on endgame content. That aside, they have delivered some outstanding improvements to this game via the mod.
So many good things in this mod! Can't wait to u cover all the secrets. I'm playing through as graveborn/blightcaller. So many new ways to build and play. Breath of fresh air.
I like the fact that the weapon that shows him that they have a list that shows dedicated sources and he got a Melee that seem super good especially with the shield effects allowed him to refill the shield by using his melee but you kept dying cuz enemies were Meleeing him he should have just hit back
When you mentioned mod in your previous video, I was...curious. Then Moxsy put up a vid about his favorite parts of it. After watching the first 2 minutes of this video, I've started downloading it. I'm trying to not get too excited, but I feel like the team that developed this focused on the the player community, of which I assume many of them are a part of. I'm finally excited to play this game again.
the pay to respawn a boss is something i'm surprised nobody has talked much about. it's the one reason why it's so hard to play with friends if you still want to farm.
This is very exciting news, thanks for the info, so basically the community saves the game again by making it it playable in a way that most of us would like it to be.
Everything so far in this redux mod is exactly what would be wanted in the future game/s. Definitely agree with K6 about having the dedicated drop on the card, though if it was implemented officially, I'd say have it so that it shows question marks if you haven't met that enemy or boss yet, to avoid spoilers.

Does this mod effect co-op? Like if we all have the mod installed can we still play together? Wasn't sure how it would effect it with cross-play. I'm guessing cross-play is automatically set to off or something?

That's too bad. A dodge with this dash and double jump along with the slide would be fun. Put the slam down on top of that with a few more usable class abilities and the gameplay could hit a new level.
I think if I do decide to buy any future Borderlands games, I will get them on PC after their REDUX mod comes out so I will be confident I can actually have fun with them.
I've been having fun with this on console recently. I just randomly felt like playing it and to my surprise the DLC was on sale so I got that for basically half off. I have criticisms about it for sure, but it's Borderlands enough for me and I'm getting my money's worth out of it. It's at least nice to see somebody playing it.

The way I see it, I got a new character class that was really satisfying to play with a few extra replayability bits. Everyone's mileage will vary, so I tend to avoid a single compelling viewpoint on the matter. "Hype trains" (positive or negative) can get derailed too easily to be a reliable metric for a game's worth. A perfect game does not exist and never will. If I enjoy it for the reasons I enjoy it, it is good enough. I just might wait for a price point that I better agree with.
Its interesting that the bosses were respawning for you. None of the story bosses respawned for me until post game. Anytime I went back the arenas were just empty.
@Ki11ersix I deleted all my saves and have leveled 3 characters through Redux so far, and none of my story bosses respawn till postgame. It's not a huge issue since it forces me to use what drops to progress. I was just curious seeing zomboss respawn for you in this vid.
@@eredkaiser That's not normal... the bosses, like healthbar on screen ones, respawn in the base game once you get into the next quest after them. Redux should let the "minibosses" respawn too
@nhooj8882 Right, that's how it always worked in the base game, so I was confused when I couldn't get any of the story bosses to respawn. Even going back to ribula post Dry'll, ribulas arena would be empty. As soon as i finished the game, it worked as normal. could be a glitched install.
Sorry for the bad news, but my game keeps crashing. The game seems to load fine, but whenever I go into the inventory and then switch over to the journal it crashes. I have literally tried everything to try fixing it, but nothing seems to work. Hits right in the feels man...🥲
Has anyone else noticed as of the last patch that the ground slam hasn’t been replaced by dash? I have the double jump but any time I try to dash I slam instead. I tagged Epic on Twitter but he hasn’t responded.
I genuinely think that Borderlands 4 will be a more original idea, with more things from borderlands 2. I get the wonderlands was something they just wanted to experiment with, that’s the problem though, people get so mad that the producer of their games tried something new. Even though they would also be annoyed more if they kept the same routine and copy pasted a lot of things. But if BL4 is a more 1 and 2 style game it would likely gain traction quickly. Comedy wise too, the comedy for 2 has me laughing even now.😂
Is some lovely QoL features that I hope gearbox takes note of to maybe work into future games if they have to time to Publishers , deadlines and all that BS that often gets in the way

Hear me out. What if shade from Scarlett DLC is a failed vault hunter. He has the vault symbol in his glasses and what seems to be an assault rifle bullet in his mouth, he also has scars all over his body that are seemingly unexplained. He also might've gone insane because of seeing the contents of the vault or from dehydration. My theory is that he was stopping in oasis to get water and maybe rest for the night but he was pretty much forced to help around town but was too much of a coward to fight back against the pirates which could explain the failed vault hunter thing due to trauma from a fight that made him into a total pussy and the reason he's so clingy to the vault hunter is him being afraid that the pirates or the creatures are gonna kill him
i didnt notice this when i was playing but saw it on your end it looks like unique items show up on the mini-map like legendries do, also side not but the air dash is really wonky when hitting a slop

No. The whole luck mechanic has been removed. The dice are still there, but they don't increase your luck.

The movement upgrades are by far the best part of this mod. It makes getting around maps so much easier, and even introduces a few skips.

The fast travel alone makes me wanna replay Wonderlands. The overworld gimmick was fun the first time, but after that it just becomes a tedious chore.
Sweet now I have a reason to actually play Wonderlands, been waiting for some mods

I recently bought wonderlands. Should I start the game with redux or do vanilla? I am a bl veteran.
Do a Vanilla run first. Try to 100% the game if you’re into that. Then if you feel like the game is missing features you’d like try the Redux mod

I'd recommend a full playthrough unmodded first, BUT once you unlock Chaos Chambers maybe go ahead and do the mod.

Delete all the mod stuff and then Verify your game files. After that do a fresh mod install, following the steps SUPER carefully.
Gearbox need to employ these guys.
With mods/private servers the community are the devs at this point

Loot Luck is no longer a factor in dedicated drop farming. Shrines are still there.
