    Aviation pro, mom, wife, runner 26.2 x 6, Phillies Phan and more! Joanne "Jo" Damato has been in aviation since she took her first flight lesson as a teenager and began her business aviation career in 1998.
    Jo graduated from the Florida Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Aviation Management/Flight Option Specialization and obtained a Masters of Aeronautical Science Degree from Embry-Riddle. She also holds a Single and Multi-Engine Land Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot Certificate, and is a Certified Flight Instructor and a Certified Aviation Manager. She is active with Women in Aviation, International, Women in Corporate Aviation and the Florida Tech College of Aeronautics Alumni Board.
    She has been featured on the cover of Aviation for Women Magazine and she also wrote a longtime column for the same publication titled “The Juggling Act” detailing the work/life balance of two-parent aviation households. Currently, Jo is the Senior Vice President, Training Education & Workforce Development for the National Business Aviation Association where she has been employed since 2001. In September 2010, Jo and 4 other business aviation industry professionals launched an all-volunteer non-profit organization, Sky Hope Network, with the mission of Business Aviation responding to urgent situations. In 2018, Sky Hope merged with Patient Air Lift Services where it is managed by a professional full-time staff.
    Jo's favourite place in the world is Home when her husband and boys are all under one roof a few times a year.
