Niantic really screwed the pooch with this one. They need to enable G-Max battles to be able to remote battle. It’s not fair for the folks who work or live in rural areas.
It’s not fair to anyone that doesn’t live in the areas that always get special events lmao. Had 7 people this morning and only took down a centimeter of Charizard’s health 😭
If they make remote raids, then that ruins the whole purpose of power dens. You have to get close enough to battle them in sword and shield, so that’s the same for Pokémon go. They won’t be adding remote raids anytime soon especially with the currency being max particles.
Here's what I discovered: it is utilizing a traditional raiding mechanic. Suggest groups: 1 tank, 1 healer, 2 dps. Groups are created as you enter (and can’t be adjusted once you enter), so determine who is healing/tanking ahead of time so THAT group of 4 enters at the same time (instruct others not to enter until group 1 is done..then go to 2, etc). Suggested group of 4: 1 Metagross, 1 healer (of appropriate counter) and 2 x dps (of appropriate counter). You can view which group you’re in by clicking the group info right above the “ready” button. Healing. You only heal yourself and the people in YOUR group ONLY. As you get into the Dynamax ability screen, you will see your group at the top and what moves they're doing...if you're a healer, notice what health bars are at....everyone full, do a dps move. Tanking. Certain Pokemon are getting taunts, such as non evolved Pokemon, Falinks and Metagross. Tanks should maintain 3 shields (3 is max)..if they have 3, do a dps move. Only tanks need to shield. My Intellion used no shields, no one in the group used a shield...and he didn't take any damage for 3 meter fills (the tank took the damage). Suggestion: 3 Metagross DPS. Just DPS, let the healers heal and tanks shield. Like some feedback on this...
That's what I'm saying. I have guard and spirit maxed out and I kept my whole team alive and full health. If they are dodging the moves as well you barely need to heal

It's also a good idea to dodge the attacks. It's a difficult timing, but I got rather good at it by the end of our session. We were pretty succesful with just 16 players. Love the feature, but it's too difficult.
I know everyone is upset about this but honestly, what’s the point of these? They’re useless. You can’t D or G max in pvp , gyms, rocket battles, or legendary raids. They also have no outside effects like megas. They’re just trophies
3 things: get a group of 12 people with 3 blastois ( lvl 40/50) getting max spirit and shield never use the max attack. Make sure charizard only has a fire attack on al 3 lobies else just remake. And you can take it down with 12 people it just takes time. ( but y who has max g max pokemon 😅)
Time and RESOURCES. Dust and candy usage is wild for these. Maybe we just need to invest enough to power up a small team of each in order to get one gmax? Maybe, I guess the initial investment to beat one gmax battle might be worth it if only that 1 gmax mon can help win further gmax battles.BUT, then we need 20+ ppl to meetup and have the same setup. I am rural so I don’t plan on wasting any resources On dmax and gmax mons. Esp bc they can only be used in dmax and gmax battles. I’ll just keep looking for regular hundos and shinies. It would be awesome to be able to participate with the community but that’s just not my reality. 🫡
Looking over this weekend event, especially for smaller city or town. Instead of bringing people outside to meet and raids, end up totally doing the opposite. People just stay home instead and not to bother as they know they won't win. In normal raid hour or elite raids for example, we could get 15 - 20 out raiding together in our local community.... this weekend no one....
In order for it to be a fair comparison, every aspect has to be the same. Example: Benchmade Griptilian or Bugout Mini vs. Microtec/Marifone Custom Sitch. Both us companies. Thats the only thing they have in common. One is mass produced. The other is a one of custom. All of which youll need to know or figure it out yourself as im not explaining. None of the same materials
Greetings Brandon. We were sooo many meeting from the Pokemon go community in Oslo yesterday for the gmax event .I got 2 shiny Charizards, one of them being a 96%. I also got a shiny Blastoise ❤
Heading back into the city later to try and catch a couple more zards. Yesterday however, was brutal. I spent an hour just trying to raid and catch one Blastoise - G and thirty minutes for a third zard. Only for that zard to reset. Too many came unprepared and expected the rest to carry. The teams I was placed in brought baby pokemons... Rarely did I ever see a fully evolved team of type advantage pokemons while I was raiding. (Saw plenty of Metagross, Sobble
I don’t have time to drive two hours round trip (local Campfire groups are going to populated areas like large malls that are farther away), as well as spend half hour strategizing, the 10-15 minutes fighting only to very likely not catch one of these. This seems unreal for a mobile game. I love the lower level dynamax cause I can pop those out solo while walking or waiting in line somewhere. This sounds online MMO level. I understand this is supposed to be a slow burn but a lot of my frustration comes from the fact that when I get to the point of finally being able to have a chance at one of these, players may be done with the older releases.
When people go with the "rural players?" thing I do feel bad. Best I can say is "trade with someone or take your opportunity if you ever travel to a big city". MANY of the things already impact rural areas (people for raids, stops before someone submit them for approval, spawns). But what I truly have to say is, it was a wonderful, glorious achievement when our community got together to beat it. There was barely enough, players called old/retired players to join and we even considered a joint effort with other groups. In the end it was 1 Venosaur, 1 Charizard and 1 Blastoise done. It's the ONE game from the franchise that is centered around IRL and meeting ppl, if that's to be taken, then why make it in the first place.
People are going in with unpowered dynamax pokemon. Not much strategy other than saving your strongest and switching to it for when you go into dynamax. We were able to do this raid with only 20 people and we just used meet ups. Get them to around level 30 and with a group it's very doable. The only thing I think is scummy about this event is that Niantic limits you on how much particles you can collect from stops and 2km walks. That literally enforces us to buy particles which I think is dumb, it more so should be for convenience.
Here in Ingolstadt Germany we did a couple of raids with 22 and with 20 people, we did it but it was so close (at the end 2 mons were left when we did the charizard raid with 20 people)
0:38 Oh, come on! You have basically the most stardust of everyone in the world. Why on earth would you not power up your Pokemon before battle? Maybe you want to wait until you get a hundo or something, but at least level up your Pokemon to level 30.
Power up your Dynamax to Level 39. Max Move, Level 2. Get 18-20 others with the same specs, and it's doable. We took down all three with 18-20 people. We struggled the most with Blastoise. It took 2 tries, but it was done. Problem is 20-25 people will show up with first evolution dynamax and expect others to carry the load. If that's the case, you're going to need 30-40 trainers.
Instead of pay to win maybe make things in the shop more affordable, than people might stop hating. Raids should be easy shouldn’t have to try, should be lvl 50 with out paying
I see a lot of hate on this update in the comments but honestly think it’s rly cool that Niantic did something like this. A true good challenging boss fight that requires more strategy than just what Pokémon you bring and can be easily Beaton by 1 or 2 maxed out players but instead you need more people. Oftenly. Great vid Brandon thanks!!!
Title: there is z way to defeat them... Answer: give up your job, become full time pokemon go pleyer, become popular pogo content creator, go to a big city and advertise youre going to be there, 40 people will turn up to help... Simple, dont know what everyones problem is.
It's so annoying to live in a small town with exactly 12/13 trainers (in the entire town...) everyone is just spread out too far and everyone hates eachother xd
unfortunately i live in a small town so getting a gmax pokemon seems out of the picture lol hopefully they get easier in the future or im able to get one via trade in the future
I got blastoise and charizard in Times Square with 31 people. I couldnt catch g max vensaur which is bullshit. It was down to the wire. I’m very disappointed because they aren’t really much different from the basic dynamax versions. If only they give all the max moves. Or we customize their ivs. They are pretty wack all honesty.
Spoofers & city players are all that will be left it seems. We were able to win with 25 people but unfortunately once the MP ran out we had to stop. If youre going to make content this difficult and the MP held so low you need to allow 1 or 2 remote raids per person at the event. Very disappointing to have the desire to play but bricked by the minimum amount of players and the system in place to fix that being unusable. Niantic.....do you want everyone to play your game or just a select few? Im confused if youre running a business or an exclusive clubhouse?
4). To tak jakby do gry Pokemon GO dołożyli zupełnie nową grę Dynamax. 5).
Ya I would have to do a 3 hour trip to London if I want to do these and even then I would have to be lucky and pray people are playing, so it would be a waste and then another 3 hour trip back
Niantic logic is that 40 people entered the raids are not random, not unknown, and they are friends, and they are army, they will manage each other to level up all mons to lvl 40 and ask the beginners to leave the raids, dont join, fxxking waste the time of 99 per people worldwide. Only please a small group of people holding the raid party. Non sense and bullshit😂.

U can mega evolve them still and use them in battle while also having a good gmax pokemon without having to make 2 stardust investments
I must be one of the very few that actually enjoy this, I love the challange and the game cant accommodate for everyone
Yeah, hard pass on Gigantamax. Looks like a huge waste of time.
I love in a city with a good player base, but it is still uncommon to have 40 players gather at once unless there's a special event going on
Heading back into the city later to try and catch a couple more zards.
It's the ONE game from the franchise that is centered around IRL and meeting ppl, if that's to be taken, then why make it in the first place.
as a rural player i approve of this message.
I live in a city with like 30,000 and there’s a few Pokémon players but 40 of us joining is bananas you can only do this type of raids on big cities
Like every new feature in the game for good or bad needs time to be solid, just lets hope Niantic listens to the community feedback.
The way you defeat them is to not do them so niantic makes them easier. Such a scam fore money. I'll skip.
suntec city in singapore was filled with people:) so thankful for that mall did 11 gmax battles
Here in Ingolstadt Germany we did a couple of raids with 22 and with 20 people, we did it but it was so close (at the end 2 mons were left when we did the charizard raid with 20 people)
Event was really fun for me. Had enough particles to catch one of each.
Me too i’m trying to get a shiny charmander but can’t find people it sucks i have to hit the city tmr for the last day…
I wish you the best of luck 👍
To paraphrase a famous sentence from the past: Niantic doesn’t care about rural people!
Looks like I’ll never be getting any of those
we had full lobbies and didn’t loose a single one
Good ending:
Keywords: full lobbies
0:38 Oh, come on! You have basically the most stardust of everyone in the world. Why on earth would you not power up your Pokemon before battle? Maybe you want to wait until you get a hundo or something, but at least level up your Pokemon to level 30.
Exactly!!!!
I live in a town of 25k people. We struggle to get 8-10 people at a raid or event and we have a group for it. This is just ridiculous.
Imagine being the team that designed and coded this for it to never be played.
Step 1: DON'T
brandon, when you use the g max move u can wait for the circle to complete 3/4 then use it as it does more damage!
the bots are too fast!
It's so annoying to live in a small town with exactly 12/13 trainers (in the entire town...) everyone is just spread out too far and everyone hates eachother xd
2:17 Bradon is ike, the boss only a quarter down, and 35 Pokemon remaining but he will stay optimistic
actually lesser mons surviving is good. cheer make the meter up faster. you got more dynamax up time so lesser raid boss damage window
@ but sooner or later you get less mons, so why sooner?
@@fenrael3021 but sooner or later you get less mons, so why sooner?
We beat Charizard with around 18-19, and that's with nobody powering up a single DMax/GMax mon
unfortunately i live in a small town so getting a gmax pokemon seems out of the picture lol hopefully they get easier in the future or im able to get one via trade in the future
3). Ażeby wejść do lobby, to trzeba zużyć 800 MP energii, czyli można zrobić 1 rajd, albo trzeba dokupować MP za pokecoinsy lub płatne boxy.
To tak jakby do gry Pokemon GO dołożyli zupełnie nową grę Dynamax.
Niantic will definitely nerve those G-Max 🤣 They don’t earn any money this way lol 🤣
Ya I would have to do a 3 hour trip to London if I want to do these and even then I would have to be lucky and pray people are playing, so it would be a waste and then another 3 hour trip back
Tl;dr The way you defeat them is to live in a big city and be a popular Pogo Influencer. There now you don’t have to watch the video.
Got my first today!
Legendary Gigantimax requires 65 minimum and maxed out Pokémon’s.
I have returned to the game 2021. Quitting 2024. This was too much even without remote or a group search. There will never be a full lobby for this
I waited all day for this video!
I was out for a few hours today and never once dud someone else join a gigantamax battle...
I,m sorry if you tried to get a gigantic trade cause there's a glitch at the moment
We had 22. Defeated venasur and blastoise. Lost to charizard.
They need to make it remote battle also cause some of us like being alone. 😂😂
We went with 21 people and beat Charizard and Venusaur 💪
Doesn’t the gengar have focus blast in its move pool? Depends on the move set of gmax gengar they could be really easy with all ghost attacks just bring greedent and dubwool but if it has focus blast or sludge bomb it’s doable with gengar but yea, it all comes down to the move set it has
The Dynamax move is based on the fast move, so with that in mind, Gengar only has Ghost and Dark type fast moves.
@@Hadien789really? Then how is gmax blastoise able to use skull bash and falinks can use megahorn? How does that work?
@@brattiespoet6797 The rules are different for the D-max pokemon you battle. Your dmax pokemons dmax move is based on it's fast attack. The dmax pokemon we battle doesn't have that handicap.
I apologize for the mixup, my mistake.
@@Hadien789 it’s alr you good dmax is a new and weird feature anyways
Im lucky i live in japan theres always 40 people fighting gigantamax every 10mins
crazy how they can just dip away 😂
As a rural player i look at these like the shadow legendary s I simply will never be able to do them
Tap with alternating fingers. It's frustrating to see how slowly you're filling that Max Meter!
They just renamed elite raids to gigantamax.
Are gigantamax Pokémon even that much better than dynamax?
Bell sound🎉❤
I lost max particles even though we lost :( I’m not sure why but it still took my max particles :( I couldn’t do the battles after because I didnt have enough anymore :(
imagine being a rural player and barely able to complete a gigantamax battle (if possible) for it to just ran away 😂
where were you playing? I was lucky enough to get a hundo venosaur on my second gigadynamax
I am angry because niantic ask us to go in person raid. And we did go there, but failed raid even full lobby of 40 random players who run charmanders, not the fault of them, is the fault of moron game designers. Brainless. Finally wasting my precious time in first day try, no one were interested in second day, just garbage spot shown up on map, and block us raiding the one star dynamic mons
NICE
I can’t even get a group to defeat Falinks 😭
Another feature made impossible for most players
we had 28 pple to fight a gmax zard and won. But couldnt catch even after 7 golden razz excellent curveball
💀
