Found your channel cuz I just bought an industar 69 myself. Gotta say man, you pack a lot of style into all of your images & shorts! Your visuals are inspiring and your typography is on point too, keep up the good work! 👍🏼
Nice video. Quick question - I have the same lens and adapter as you, but I'm experiencing heavy vignette. It looks like I am seeing parts of the lens at the edges of the frame. Is this the case with you, and the pictures we see are cropped in?
hello! and yes! the vignetting is normal if you’re using a full frame camera. My canon eos r has a 1.6x crop feature where it crops in and takes out the vignetting. so with that feature on it essentially the lens becomes a 44.8mm lens.
@@PatrickHRogers Sweet, yeah I've got the zooms and primes but the canon stuff is generally pretty bulky. I love the look of this stuff, reminds me of a HOLGA almost. Where did you pick yours up?
I personally didn’t have any issues with it, but just keep in mind that with lenses this old, perfect condition when it comes to infinity focus isn’t always guaranteed.
not getting infinity focus is an issue of the adapter not the lens. The industar 69 come from a chaika half frame camera which uses the m39 screw mount like old leicas. However the focal plane distance of a leica and the russian chaika are different therefore infinity focus is not possible with most adapters. The m39 adapters you can buy are usually adapters made for Leica or compatile lenses. you would have to modify the adapter to get infinity focus

@@PatrickHRogers thanks bro. This helps alot.
Are you using any profiles in-camera? I've got an RP and am looking at getting this as a small carryround.
No profiles at all! Also, a small carryroung is the exact reason I got this lens!
