in reality his landing was actually good for the weather conditions bc it was really windy and he managed to control it well not smash it but even if he did its better to smash it then try land it smoothly and overun the runway
2 problems. In airliners like the 737 you don't use the rudder pedals until maybe the very last second to de-crab. Using the rudders will only induce dutch roll and it's unnecesary given that the airplane has a yaw damper. Also, for performance figures to be respected you need to deploy the reversers within 1 second of touchdown. Apart from that all good considering how unrealistic airplanes feel in MSFS.
No, the corrections were overdone which made the plane unstable especially right where the landing threshold started, it was also a long landing indicated by the last landing threshold markers where he made the touchdown, which is not a good position to be in.
That is very understandable. I felt relieved when "safely" on the ground even if it was only in the simulator. Very happy that I did not experience such a landing in real life.
hey man some advice, try not to oversteer as much and try to do, gentle movements every so often to keep the plane on a stabilised final approach obviously if its really gusty or have a crosswind you'll have to steer more but what you are doing is correcting your own movements and not what the weather is making your plane turn so much, its you. Amazing setup btw!
It really depends on your approach to building/accuiring one. There is a very good article onwww.simobsession.com/faq/how-much-does-it-cost/ which goes through cost. I my case, I have built everything my self except the throttle quadrant, which means that cost for some parts are less then if you were to purchase it. This does however require a lot more time and tools which can cost alot. I would say that you would need 10,000-30,000$ for a nice diy build, and up to an additional zero for a plug and play solution.
He needs to combat a little bit of the wind somehow if he just lets go of the control the plane will start tilting to the left and possibly rotate a little bit. He just over controlled a little bit and floated for a bit also a little bit soft touchdown.
@@B738DIY How long was the runway? If the runway was long enough, you could have used flaps 30, allowing you to approach faster, which would make it easier to land given the gusts
@@B738DIY If that's the case then, it would have been very understandable, not for the fact that it was a strong crosswind, but also take the fact for that the Boeing 737 uses traditional hydro mechanical controls, and not any fly by wire systems, which is quite the trend for modern Airliners these days, as it would have regularly been quite hard and quite shaky, but still stable, proves you are worthy enough to fly an aircraft under an airline of both your choice.

One issue I can see is that you have the death grip, don't grab the yoke that hard. Another thing is pull and push less violently. ( I don't know the wind conditions and i'm not a pilot just enthusiast)
That's still much better than me. I bounce all over the place right now and explode my tires in the process. Big learning curve when it comes to landing properly.
You can still get a job with Ryanair.
Nah he started using the rudder at 70 ft xD bro use that during the flare
Nah he didn’t…
Unoriginal Ryanair joke moment
Yeah, Ryanair "jokes" aren't really funny anymore. Just childish and pathetic, unless you're a 10yo.

gonna be honest rn, the setup is so realistic that i thought bro is flying an actual plane

In bad weather involving rain, you are almost obliged to slam it into the runway as a smooth landing on a wet runway is actually a danger of skidding.
@@m_swizzy22 yeah exactly thats why its best slamming it in bad weather

Took a flight from ONT to LAS yesterday and this was pretty much exactly how we landed. I was scared lol

So this is how hard landing looks like in a pilot’s perspective?
Bro that landing was SMOOTH AS BUTTER
how
@@mathiasgameplays6036 because it is my opinion
And it looked like it aswell
I'm sure Ryanair can hire you
Either you were fighting the wind or your inner thoughts
Mostly cross wind and turbulence 😊
Hey man, that was butter, don't be so hard on yourself. Looked like you were in some high winds there.
People who know that this was not ryanair quality because he did it in Wellington
You: i can fly takeoff a plane but almost crash while landing so i slam the plane on the runway.
Ryanair: ur hired.
It was unstable but you did it, captain!
tbh that was a lot smoother than 98% of the "great landings" I have to watch in simulator groups, good job
sir i really respect your landing skills in this weather condition but i was thinking about the passenger POV 💀💀
looks pretty realistic all that swinging about during the approach that what the real ones do
Be happy i’m not your pilot: we steel be sad and curious more cuz we wish your not our pilot. and we are sad cuz you need to train more❤❤
Oh that's your own setup?! That's so cool!
Thank you for flying Ryanair
honestly, that landing was nice
Looks like butter to me. Would love to see the entire setup
I have a video on my channel showing more of the setup, and I'm working on making an in depth video on how I built the cockpit
Damn still better than me once I hear 500 I freak out and hit the runway and bounce the plane
😂
dude! you'd be a perfect hiree for Ryanair!
To centrum szkoleniowe pilotów ryanaira tak?
Atleast better than ryanair
THROWBACK TO THE DRIFT380 CLIP
Ryan Air might have contacted you after seeing this video
not enough right rudder
Touch down zone, what's that fuck it!
wait- i just found out this is ms flight sim i thought it was real
actually, most pilots would not be able to land this causing a crash good joob!

Be Happy That Its A Simulator
Good landing
It should’ve been a go around I think
Absolutely!
actually I would be happy if you were my pilot that was amazing
That looks so hard
Good Luck

All that money on a sim rig to fly like that...
Well, this is what you get when you enjoy building just as much as flying
properly you are ryanair pilot
Overcontrolling.mp4
Where is that place I have been wanted to go to one of those for a billion years
Well, this simulator is in my basement. It's a diy build. I know there are places you can go to test flightsims
Bit bumpy but could be worse xD
I mean you landed safely so it’s not to bad
Was not that bad.
7/10
Don't be so aggressive with the yoke, ull land perfectly then

wait is this real or a video game i literally can't even tell? where did you get that crazy set up?
its a full motion flight simulator used to train pilots
Ryanair
wait wut, why i hear airbus callouts? u use airbus on boeing?
Wait thats a setup
It's simulator?
Of course
let me guess, this is Ryanair right? 😂
What were the weather conditions
I don't remember the exact conditions. It was gusty with the turbulence setting on realistic which makes the 737 really twitchy
u still better than me
100................50......40.....30......20......10.........BUTTER. This landing was the smoothest a War Thunder player has ever done.
why are you so aggressive with the yoke????
FLOOAAAATTTYYYYY
was it windy?
Yes, windy and turbulent
ryanair
What is the spinning thing after pressing the button?
That is the trim wheel that are connected to the stabilizer. They can be used to manually trim the plane
im sad
cool sim
that was good
Thankfully my contry DOESNT HAVE AN AIRLINE THAT OWNS A 737 💀💀💀
thats the most realistic setup ive ever seen holy shit
That is very true it's very realistic.
That is because he is in a simulator
Not his setup. He payed for a simulator session
@@RienRocks It's his setup.
@@dannygo500 Oh shoot MB. Was probably talking about a different video.
seems like a bit of pilot induced oscillation, but difficult to tell without knowing the wind conditions
It was quite gusty. However I was clearly too aggressive with the controls close to the runway, making the plane unstable.
@@B738DIY it wasnt gusty at all the mfd states 7-10 kts throughout

Thank you! The cockpit is a DIY project, so no reg number :)

my eyes are bleeding Nice piloting said the bleeding eyes
I had a landing like that in CPH last week. Some people were throwing up 🤮 at the back. Good landing though 👍🏻
this is your home setup??? that is so sick! i thought this was a professional simulator---well done
