The greatest performance of Beethoven's 5th I've ever heard, bar none. The coda is breathtaking. I only wish they had recorded or left in more of the volcanic applause.
Magnificent and interesting. Last movement is about two and a half minutes faster than the Vienna commercial recording, sometimes criticized as too slow.
It is available from Berkshire from time to time at a very affordable price, and I do not think it is "private" recording. This should be a WFMT broadcast.
Best performance on Beethoven's 5 Symphony. Heaviness and swiftness coexist!
